    I wish we did this every couple of years, globally, mandatory. I mean, clearly we can do it. I remember nature just springing right back up, smog clearing, fucking dolphins and shit, everything started clearing up almost instantly.

    But because capitalism, we are no longer masters of our destiny. Money controls humanity, not the other way around, and it will kill us all and take everything else down with it.

    I am glad I had a couple of decades where things were still up in the air and there was a sense that since we were all aware of what was coming, we would be able to prepare and get out of it.

    We didn’t, and the world is precisely as dystopian and bleak as our worst fears said it would be.

    I remember the silence. Noise pollution is a big deal. All the creatures in any urban environment basically live their entire lives underneath a highway overpass.
