Very Evil Deadesque movie. Evil Dead + The Exorcist + Bring Her Back. Lots of camera shenanigans, extreme closeups, split diopters, etc. Dead people are very Deadites behaving. I liked the music a lot, Egyptian theme, locations. Like always, the rumors about extreme gore and sick imagery were just pure hyperbole. The effects are well done but it's nothing as crazy as early reviews were talking about. It was fun but I'm not sure it has staying power.

Heat and Task had a baby and it's not up to the parents height yet. I enjoyed it but something was missing. Higher stakes maybe? More fatality?

The romance felt flat and for some reason I though he's using her as part of the plan for most of the runtime and the traffic accident was staged by him. 

The high speed pursuit action was well done but had too much cuts. The longer takes would make it look so much more thrilling.

What a pleasant surprise. The premise is ridiculous, mainly all the hacking and tracking but it is a tense movie and I did not guess the killer until it was too late which is always a plus in my book. The chase scene in the police woman's flat was great, the tunnel sequence was well shot, and I was surprised about what happened to some characters towards the end. I found those shiny rubber gloves weirdly fascinating. Also all those revolting death bodies. What I could get without is that weird techno music. Otherwise, fun late Argento.
