Hands down, one of the best remakes ever. The tension, slow build up, suspense and disorienting paranoia is on brilliant display here. To many, this re-examination surpasses the original's themes of isolation, small town paranoia and fear of "the other." I always enjoy my revisits. Nimoy steals every scene he's in and look out for Robert Duvall as a priest in one of the creepiest cameos ever. Don Siegel, the director of the OG Body Snatchers, also makes an appearance as a taxi driver.

This was a rewatch I 4K uhd. Still stand by my OG 4 star rating. A solid 007 installment with a smarmy, sleazy villain and superb action set pieces. The sequence in Italy at the film's beginning displays some masterclass stuntwork. An entertaining Craig entry that doesn't deserve the vitriol, imo.

Still holds up and is still a blast. Tommy (Thom Matthews) is the perfect horror film hero in this. And the poor Sheriff's back breaking demise always makes me giggle. Good conclusion, too. Almost becomes an action movie.

I did a rewatch this morning and the Unrated Cut still holds up. It is, by far, the superior cut. The film is much more cohesive. The story beats also benefit from the character building that the theatrical cut sorely lacked.

But, the greatest thing about Joe Johnston's vision here is the attention to detail and Rick Baker's amazing wolfman effects. Shelley Johnson's cinematography is gloriously immersive here, also.

I am keeping the OG rating I gave it.
