Dream Scenario
★★ Watched

Dream Scenario had an interesting concept and the potential to use the power of Nick Cage's furious acting to create an entertainingly insane film. Unfortunately, for me, alot was left on the table and the finished product feels disjointed and a confused mish mash of art house, independent and 'high brow' cinema.

Despite the creative use of sound and editing techniques, the film feels very flat from beginning to end. The performances by everyone involved were all good, but the…

An American Werewolf in London

An American Werewolf in London is one of my favourite horror films, it doesn't rely on being a horror film to be interesting yet the horror elements are executed superbly and with great impact.

One of the elements of this film that I believe give it a timeless quality is its general tone, which is more of a drama than a horror film and there are a lot of comedic moments sprinkled throughout which help to keep the audiences interest…

Killers of the Flower Moon is quintessential Scorsese. Beautifully crafted, superbly acted and simple.

The Love Witch
★★★★ Liked Rewatched

A fantastic example of the old school style of film making, with modern social reflections.

The aesthetic of this film is superb, it truly feels like its been pulled through time from the 60's/70's and the story itself is reminiscent of George Romero's 'Season of the Witch' and could be viewed as a sequel to that film.

This is a must watch for fans of classic horror!
