As the original 1982 negative (by Alan Tang’s The Wing-Scope Co.) for this film is lost, another negative from 1988 (which seems to be an English export negative) by Tang’s company In-Gear was used here. Seeing films from this early 80s HK cinema era is decent quality is quite rare and VS did a good job with what they had. Low budget true crime flick produced by Cat III schlockmeister Lau Siu-Kwan (HONG KONG EVA, BODY LOVER), reminiscent of Danny Lee/Magnum true crime films that released around that same time. What’s ironic is that the lead of the film, Lam King-Kong was a Magnum regular who normally played cops (such as in THE UNTOLD STORY) but in this, he plays a killer.
