@Gargron I have the big one on my clothes stand watching over me when I am at my desk at work or on my computer, which is most of the day. His name is John Mastodon and he is like a protecting angel watching over me.

We’ve moved our internal communications from Discord to Zulip at Mastodon, and I think there are plans to do the same for our Patreon community Discord. The harder part will be untangling my gaming communities from this…

Reworking my

I am an independent scholar of various humanities. I am often distracted from those studies by writing poetry. I have lived with disability my entire adult life. I spent the majority of my life below the poverty line. I earned a master's as an adult to escape, but barely an inch.

I am big believer in community driven intra-degrowth, that is, degrowth that is more concerned with the immediate area, with each community doing the same. Degrowth is that feminist, anti-violence learning, care driven, open access anti-intellectual leader, and it is only anti-utopianism that we can find a truer utopia.

There are more and more drifting towards an idea of holistic and mutually beneficial progress and in that there is hope. Open stewardship of open, shared education is the only way to assure if progress comes in the form of open access and anti-thought leaders, more individuals will be better able to maintain that progress.

To be honest, I am a little confused about the future of . I understand that unfortunately, they will be embracing , but what, they will have multiple browser options so we can have the choice to not have ai in our browser? This isn't very clear. And then they want a paid version of Firefox? Will that be like a streaming service with or without ads? But this time with or without ai? This all sucks.

Pardon my confused, and I am sorry to be begging you for an answer that is not clear, but if I migrate to an independent instance (Masto Host) will I still not be safe and protected from these TOS because of the nature of federated posts?

When we released post editing for , we first released a version that supported processing and displaying edits incoming from other servers, before releasing a version that flipped a switch allowing anyone to make edits. We're taking an identical approach with quote posts, as the upcoming 4.4 version of Mastodon will begin displaying quote posts from other servers and software. Once this is widely deployed on the network, 4.5 will bring the long awaited ability to quote posts.
