Got my second Shingles shot earlier today and am starting to feel the ick. Hope it's not as bad as the first shot. To be fair, I did get a covid shot the same day as the first one.

I was going to get a measles booster but the pharmacy has to special order those so I'll have to do that one later.

Update after 2nd shingles shot: I feel like I have a bad flu and I hate it. Every joint hurts. Can't sleep on my side because the arm is so ouchie.

I need to prep for the weather tomorrow but have zero energy. Fortunately some of my prep for last week's ice storm is still in place.

Appreciating clouds, you say? I'd love to, so here's one from me that I made my profile header. I love the golden hued clouds against the blue sky, and even better, to me it looks like a cozy dragon all curled up. 🐲

To the left, top, and middle, golden yellow clouds seem to form the shape of a curled dragon against the blue sky. The dragon is facing left and might be exhaling a little puff of smoke.

Woke up to an email from the Poe mailing list, and unsurprisingly it was cryptic. It included a link to sign up for a new email list from something called Siren Society.

A little bit of a let down because it's yet more waiting for real news, but still, it's signs of Poe activity!

@ItsJenNotGoblin Concrete Blonde's "Joey" came to mind immediately. I don't hate the song, and I was happy they were getting some love, but I remain mad that out their whole fantastic discography, Joey was the one to get the most airplay.

My brain has decided to mess with me by waking me up to the sound of my phone notification, except the sound is entirely imaginary. In the middle of the night the only notifications I get are from the security alarm, so when I wake up thinking I've heard the sound I have to check the phone to see the alarm status. And there's nothing there.

So yeah, brains are wondrous, masochistic things, huh?

The first version of this I ever heard was the Benny Goodman version (via the movie about him). Gene Krupa's playing stood out as super fun and creative, even to little kid me.

Then I discovered it was actually written by Louis Prima, so that's the one I usually listen to. James Horner's version on the Swing Kids OST is also great.

Yes, there’s another phishing campaign contacting fediverse users to fill out a form to avoid being suspended or whatever. Stay calm and just report them and be sure to check the option to inform their home instance so the account gets suspended for everyone.

Also, please consider enabling moderated signups if you don’t already have them. I get it - signups dropped by >90% when I did it, but there’s very little capability for dealing with bad actors proactively once they have an account. I know it’s not a foolproof way to keep the scammers out, but it is an improvement.
