We're talking about the "alternative half time show" that Turning Point USA (TPUSA or Toilet Paper USA) put up: the pre-recorded, badly lip synced mess by Kidd Rock, because they were having a tantrum over the fact that the NFL chose American artist Bad Bunny to perform.
De Olympische winterspelen zijn weer begonnen. Veel Nederlanders zitten reikhalzend uit te kijken naar hoe onze schaatsers presteren op het italiaanse ijs. Maar er zijn nog meer sporten om naar te kijken. ...
Meanwhile I play all my GOG games on my SteamDeck. Sure it runs SteamOS and Steam in a sort of Big Picture Mode, but it's still just a Linux PC, you're free to use whatever software on there in Desktop mode, and then you can add all the apps and games you want to the Steam launcher, and run them that way. You're not forced to stay in Steam, nor are you forced to only buy games from Steam. You can exit Steam on the Desktop mode and still use Proton to play Windows games, but that leaves you with more overhead running than when you do it from Steam in the big picture mode.

screenshot of tweet by @BenjaminDEKR with text: OpenClaw is interesting, but will also drain your wallet if you aren't careful. Last night around midnight I loaded my Anthropic API account with $20, then went to bed. When I woke up, my Anthropic balance was $0. Opus was checking "is it daytime yet?" every 30 minutes, paying $0.75 each time to conclude "no, it's still night." Doing literally nothing, OpenClaw spent the entire balance. How? The "Heartbeat" cron job, even though literally the only thing I had going was one silly reminder, ("remind me tomorrow to get milk") 1. Sent ~120,000 tokens of context to Opus 4.5 2. Opus read HEARTBEAT .md, thought about reminders 3. Replied "HEARTBEAT_OK" 4. Cost: ~$0.75 per heartbeat (cache writes) The damage: - Overnight = ~25+ heartbeats - 25 × $0.75 = ~$18.75 just from heartbeats alone - Plus regular conversation = ~$20 total The absurdity: Opus was essentially checking "is it daytime yet?" every 30 minutes, paying $0.75 each time to conclude "no, it's still night." The problem is: 1. Heartbeat uses Opus (most expensive model) for a trivial check 2. Sends the entire conversation context (~120k tokens) each time 3. Runs every 30 minutes regardless of whether anything needs checking That's $750 a month if this runs, to occasionally remind me stuff? Yeah, no. Not great.
That looks delicious! Would I have to celebrate fettisdagen in order to eat one? (where I live (Bergen Op Zoom in the Netherlands) we do have "Vastenavond", but ours is usually just celebrated with too much beer and bad music, not with yummy looking pastries)
In my country Vastenavond or Carnaval is several days long, leading up to Ash Wednesday (Askonsdagen) when traditionally the 40 day fasting period before Easter starts (I think you call that Påskfastan?). People get dressed in funny ways during Vastenavond (fastings eve), they have a parade of decorated wagons on one of the days and they drink lots and lots of (festival)beer.
Eating a semla is not part of it, but it should be :)
I currently have Nextcloud running, and it's stable, performant...no issues whatsoever. But it's also a LOT more than what I need, and stores files in an "unusable" state if I want to look at them outside of Nextcloud. The real kicker is that the linux client wants to download the entire cloud drive, which simply doesn't work ...
I've replaced my nextcloud install with copyparty... Nextcloud went tits up for me after a reboot, the database kept complaining about illegal characters. I have no idea how to solve it, after restoring a backup proved fruitless. So I dropped it. I already had a test instance of copyparty running, I just incorporated the nextcloud data folder to it.
The only thing I miss is the cookbook. But I have the json files, I think I'll cobble together a json interpreter for the files so that I can copy the recipes into some other application.
The only thing from your list that copyparty can't do is keep files offline. It doesn't use a sync-ing client.

Good point. I just felt like trolling a little bit. Obviously, what he did was wrong. But it was also very funny. And it was basically a victimless crime.

If only we had a way to remove dangerous bacteria from milk. We could name it after its inventor... /sarcasm.
On the other hand, this is survival of the fittest. If you're willing to take risks with your foetus' health by drinking unpasteurized milk, maybe you shouldn't be a parent...
Thanks MAHA and all the charlatans on the internet spreading complete garbage. This was supposed to be the Enlightened Age of Information, instead it's the Dark Ages of Misinformation.
The baby hadn't been born yet. The would-be mother drank unpasteurized "raw" milk.
That's not a case of being poor or poorly resourced. It's a lot harder to source unpasteurized milk than it is to find milk that is safe to drink. You have to really go out of your way to buy that!
Tuta is nice, but you have to use their app or website to read your mail.
Search is slow and often requires you to rebuild the search cache.
And last time I used Tuta, I couldn't sort my email in other ways than time.
It's very secure though and allows for E2E encryption with passwords.
Posteo allows you to use any IMAP client to access your mail.
