A small, strange figure wearing a metallic suit and giant mask stands against a reddish sky. allows you to add new search engine keywords by right clicking on a search field at a site and picking "add a keyword for this search"

has a search engine that searches across instances called at https://sepiaSearch.org

But Firefox creates a broken search when you do this. Fix it by changing the search URL to add "search" between the / and the ? like so:

https://sepiasearch.org/search?search=%s

Now you can search for videos by typing in the search bar like:

WARDEN OF THE CANYON (2021)

I store my acrylics in plastic food containers, which allows them to last a long time while I’m working. Eventually, though, the paints have to be disposed of to make room for something new and these become my leftovers. 1/4

With one knee raised up, an armored figure hovers in a canyon of earthy spires, each blooming a single fanned leaf at its peak. Three full moons of varying size hang in the sky. Up and down the spires nestle seeds in the shape of perfect blue and purple spheres, gleaming like dew drops. The fairy is fully armored in bronze. Short hair flares wildly from a wide red headband. She holds a staff in front of her with hands gripped wide. A long sword is sheathed low on her back with the handle of another shorter blade crossing on the other hip. A woody spiral twists up beneath her as if echoing her upward motion in the air.

In late 90s early 00s I thought I'd get rich by making comicsdb.com in my spare time. It was very successful except that it was a money pit. I was still quite proud of it. I finally shut it down after a particular asshat pissed in the pool. Today I would've taken donations for it to live but that wasn't such a thing then. People would've donated I think.

I just realized wayback machine has an image from Feb 2002.

Basically do a wayback on it fully. Get it running locally, run a crawler to generate static site. Does that tool exist?

So I think the site was taken down before mobile browsing was a thing. So here are first ever screenshots on mobile on my home lab.

Not too shabby really. It was designed for much smaller screen real estate, so 800x600 or something so works pretty well on mobile. 😂

I don't understand why (progressive web apps) aren't more prevalent. But then I'm not a web dev.

Is it really that much more difficult to provide? Is it more work than developing a totally separate native app for Android and iOS in addition to your web site??

When I first came to I found these were the best PWAs I'd seen. I still use the PWA instead of any app. I feel like the other software has de-emphasized . Having parity between web and PWA is great.
