Apparently my Fedi promo video is giving error messages on YouTube (shocker).

So I just logged on YouTube Studio for the first time in months to see what's going on... and found some interesting comments.

I'm not caffeinated enough to deliver zingers but I hope my response was adequate.

On the upside, I also saw a few comments of people who set up new accounts here, so yay.

As for the unplayable problem: no clue. But this is why I LOVE and on my website I'm using the PeerTube embed

No error messages for me on mobile, just one more view and like. 😁🤷

If isn't a fungi, and it's not a plant: What on earth is it?

It would be very strange to have a living thing from a previously unknown branch of life AND it's this huge giant towering structure.

What if it was the first thing to crack the code for growing large? A runaway.

WHAT IF ITS ALIENS?
(someone calm me down please)

OK what if it's Siphonophore-like? Or something lichen like? eg not just one organism?

Heated gloves are amazing. Soothing to arthritis, they can make bitter cold winter days tolerable.

The main reason I suspect they are not more popular is the annoying matter of keeping them charged. It’s really easy to forget to turn them off.

What if the glove could detect if there was hand present?

  • What if they turn off if you clip them together?
  • What if you make a fist and squeeze and that turns them on for 5 min?
  • How else could they detect when to be on/off?

It would be interesting if they could be set to a specific temperature. In theory, they would toggle on/off automatically if your hands got too cold or too hot.

If they're built like mittens, you could use weak magnets inside so they'd collapse when no hand was present and automatically turn off

Alright of the Fediverse. I have lost a link and I'm hoping you can help me find it.

I think within the last month someone posted something about a tape archive or sample, I think it was an older website, maybe something that ran for just a few years and ended in 2002 or 2012, I think it was designed for 60-minute , audio and inserts available for download. Ringing a bell for anyone? Maybe @killyourfm ?

Not optimistic. Fuck optimism! Optimism is the idea that things will get better no matter what we do. I know that what we do matters. Hope is the belief that if we can improve things, even in small ways, we can ascend the gradient toward the world we want, and attain higher vantage points from which new courses of action, invisible to us here at our lower elevation, will be revealed.

I get asked a lot lately what I think people who want to get into cyber security should focus on. My go to answer is incident response, since it seems like the mountains of vibe code and half-assed zero trust architectures is creating galactic scale potential breach energy. Would that be called vibe responders? Or is that for when we figure out how to hand over IR to AI as well?

Responding to the vibe is grooving.
