Great news today the French government have launched their own Visio video conferencing tool

But the PR stories, while explaining it is French built, don't mention it is Open Source and based on LiveKit - so any government can reuse what they have done.

@mat I think probably Meta's motivation originally was to establish trust and accountability for their new Twitter replacement where they had none. So there is every chance they will change their minds I agree.

@Mojeek Hi there, yes, we are looking for lists of sites that might be geoblocking the UK, either for GDPR or OSA reasons. We can probably distinguish these by testing in the EU as well as US and UK. eg

Open US, blocked EU and UK - probably GDPR / ads

Open US and EU, blocked UK - probably OSA
