Indie Authors 🙂 . The initiative was founded by Tessa Hastjarjanto around 2022. 95% cooking at home. It can be like simple meal to more complex. I love cooking so I don't mind. And we are saving up so such that way. Eating out is getting more and more expensive and what I am getting in my plate is just shrinking. Delivery? When we want something very specifics. It happens once or twice a month.

To answer your question. Not officially. You can find those maybe through: Nautical Dark Fantasy, Dark Nautical Fiction. Or just Dark fantasy with pirates.

Which “small” indie game/film/book hit you harder than most blockbusters?

This post kinda implies that OP thinks the default is that blockbusters have more soul and hits people harder than indie and passion projects, which is the opposite of the truth. Art made by fewer people generally has more soul and a stronger personality which translates to feelings by the person experiencing the art. They aren’t put through a grinder of corporate bullshit to not be offensive or say anything of actual value.
I think you misread me 🙂 I wasn’t implying blockbusters have more soul by default. I’m genuinely curious which indie projects hit people as strongly (or even harder) than blockbusters. Just a straightforward question.
I've always been curious how fascism takes hold, and how people like Hitler, Stalin. etc rise to power. Do people not see what is happening? Shouldn't hindsight, foresight and common sense kick in at some point? I used t think they were like mob bosses early on - anyone disagreeing with them ends up in a barrel, but surely were ...
Lack of education : History tells us what happened and how. But, people find it boring. It is true that what it is in the past must stay in the past but it still teaches so you do not make the same mistake again.
Make one main enemy/villain/ the cause of the problem (even if it is not): The most effective trick ever. (think like you are at work, you hate one colleague, you find out that another colleague hate the same colleague. You become friend.)
Make a second enemy/villain/ the cause of the problem (even if it is not): So you diffuse more problems (safe side - figure of speech.)
As one says: Divide and conquer (always works).
BUT ALWAYS a minority as it works better. You need to please the majority.
In general people are tired of ineffective politics: so they try something new and/or it resonates with them, meaning they see that it is maybe true that the problem is the example (s) given by the fascists/nazis/neonazis etc. But, they will not check if it is true as they think the politicians know what they do. Even if, if you think about it. Anyone can be a politician, you need to know how to speak, to present yourself well, to have a vision, to know how to gather people together, to lead. The rest you delegate to more competent people who know their fields.
Once the hook works, you work with the emotions, some facts (fake or not). You slightly change the narrative so it is matching your "vision", "ideology". This is where, usually, you can get them as you can double-check if it is true or not. This is where you see the true journalists at work. And through asking questions.
Example: LGBTQA+ community (quite a """""trend""""" to bash at (sarcasm)). A lot of politicians say that it is destroying the society, family, we need to protect the kids (the ultimate red flag of all) etc.
One just need to ask them (politicians), the right questions. In what sense it is destroying the society? Etc, etc etc. So, you can show that what they say, their ideology is just fake, anti-human. etc. But, people do not do it or few. You can apply for each point of their speech.
(Besides, the most homophobic person is a gay in the closet. Grindr never lies!!!!!!)
Then, control, media, press etc. You slightly divide the majority so better control.
So basically, the same pattern that history teaches.
Well... If you insist. 😀
I think I would miss the comfort of a clean house (no insects, no fleas, no ticks- I assume there are ticks in the jungle.) If I keep thinking like a human.
For me it's Peggy from Mad Men. At first I thought she was going to be an annoyance but half way through the first season I've grown to absolutely love her!
My manager would ask me: "You do not like it here? What are all those memes, videos about "Corporate life" you are posting?. + People would think that I hate everyone...
I'd say there is, maybe, a thin line between I dont care and I hate. The core is still the same, I presume: "You do you. I do me." Just different feeling involved.
My favorite book is a little known one called "Black Holes and Timewarps: Einstein's Outrageous Legacy" and I reference it so much that I would really like a copy that's fully mine and searchable, but I also care about the author receiving compensation for the purchase. Where do you get your PDF copies from?
If you want a PDF for any book, try, at least, as much as you can, to get them directly from the author, if the author is an Indie Author they will willingly do it for you or, maybe, it is available directly on their own online store.
By doing so, you are bypassing all those companies taking, as they say "a small cut". So you are sure that your money goes directly to the author and no to the "I-take-a-small-cut company". That goes also for EPUB format etc 😀
No, it is not good. For the one who fantasizes that person (frustration, anger, jealousy, sadness) and then the other person (fear, mistrust). There is more than 8 billions people on earth. So, countless possibilities for connection, friendship, and love 😀

I do not mind them like at the crossroads or around the traffic signs, bus or railway stations, airports, museums, etc. But, if it is like every 5 metres... Even if it is said it is for security reason... I do not know... It feels more like recording everything I do
Maybe the problem is that in Europe our news are mostly in local languages. So, if I post something I would need to translate. Or one would need to share something from France24 (English), BBC, Euronews (English), etc. But, the content is not as comprehensive as the national newspapers...
Actually, having a Wednesday off is so great. You can go around the city, it is empty, you can enjoy the streets etc. I have always recommended my team to experience at least once a Wednesday off
