Today I learned that opticians are absolutely supportive of you taking a miniature to your appointment and saying "I need to be able to see to paint this" 😁
This chap was a nice change of pace after painting a rather complex squad. He's simply known as "Lord of the Dredge" and is an early part of the #Mezgike #DredgeMarines range. ...
Onto my next #terrain project. This will be a used fuel pod turned into a tower workshop on a backwater planet with limited access to tech. The main components are the coffee can, a vacuum crevice attachment, peanut butter lid, foam core, and match sticks from a lot I got at the thrift store. #Stargrave#Frostgrave#Warhammer#warhammer40k
An Ork mini-onna-stick, against a background of wet palette and general painting detritus. An attempt has been made at a high-contrast, shiny, green skin. Green, yellow and purple airbrush overspray cover the rest of the surface.
A detailed action figure of Jaghatai Khan stands on the right, adorned in ornate armor with intricate gold detailing, holding a sword. To the left, a Tactical Marine in Mk III power armor is posed with a firearm, featuring a skull motif and a red backpack. Both figures are set against a simple background, showcasing their impressive craftsmanship and articulation.
Since I just migrated to kolektiva.social I will be making a small #introduction. I'm hoping to find some like-minded people in here. These are some things I like and do:
"Literatura warhammerowa to takie harlequiny dla starszych chłopców"
Coś mi tam przypadkowo wpadło kiedyś i bez szału. Nie kontynuowałem. Zresztą jak widzę nieznane mi s-f które ma już kilkanaście czy kilkadziesiąt tomów to już potem ignoruje autora czy tam serie.
Taking some time between painting teams to fiddle with kitbashing.
Today I thought I could tell a story of two bit box hauls roughly 20 years apart and how they got me a full fledged Skaven Screaming Bell. Instead at first glance I might have to tell a story about scale creep. 🤣
My local Warhammer Store has a Christmas Challenge.
And that's what I needed to get out of my hobbying slump.
I will build a winter wonderland for Squigs!
I started with the base and it's in its first stages.
Photo of a painting desk. There's a hundred millimetres base with some modelling clay forming hills and some unpainted Squigs. Also a drawing of the base and some building materials.
Two giant Squigs with goblin riders and goblins scattering below them. The Squigs are connected by gold chains. Their giant toothy mouths are exposed, and one has a slobbering tongue sticking out. One is magenta, and the other is turquoise. The green goblins wear orange robes and are barely holding on. Some cranky mushrooms sit below the Squigs.

A while ago I painted the #DredgeMarine with the sea mine for a face but since then I've finished the rest of his mates. ...

Mezgike's take on a Plague Surgeon ( pixelfed.scot )
I think that'll do. I could do more, sure, but I think I'd rather keep up my momentum and get cracking on the next #DredgeMarine. ...
