I have just added 4 palette variations for each character on the FV Battlers I Pack, bumping the number of sprites to 48. Will do the same to the second pack. My Halloween sale is still on, by the way. We are almost at the goal :)
4 colour variations for the treant, a brown one, a blue one with green goo coming from inside, a black one with red goo and finally a red one with black goo.
I've finished all title screens, villages, towns, castles, and temples, as well as several other assorted tracks. Please check 000-tracklist.txt for the full original piece names and composers of each song, and a link to the sheet music my version is based off.
Since I've been having a lot of fun adapting classical music to chiptune style, I thought maybe I should follow all the way through and make an entire asset pack for RPG-type games...? Since I'm not composing everything from scratch, it could be very affordable relative to the amount of music. This is "Torrent" by Chopin, which I think sounds very Boss Music...
A screenshot of a top down RPG showing the protagonist and the mayor character in the latter's office in city hall. The fancily clad mayor's speech bubble says: I didn't invite you here. I'm terribly busy deciding which side of my face would look better on a coin.
Gamedev be like: This crowd of NPCs has a bunch of women in green dresses and a bunch in purple dresses. They're all supposed to walk five steps to the right. The green women move, but the purple ones stand still. I cannot find a single difference in their scripting logic or object settings, other than the color of their dresses.
The fix was to delete all the purple women, copy green women into their places, and recolor them purple. Now they all walk five steps to the right.
I can't believe that I haven't been coding since 2018 and still made this. I wasn’t even familiar with Godot! Of course, there is room for lots of improvement, but still.
Here is the Hero Printer, a tool for building your own characters be it for RPGMaker or any other engine. There is a special discount for people who have bought either the Face or Char Workshops! :)
As promised yesterday, here is our hands-on video with the Complete 2D Game Assets Bundle. A huge collection of #gamedev assets compatible with #GameMaker, #Unity3D, #GodotEngine, #RpgMaker and more.
I updated the Glory in the Thunder RPG work-in-progress. There's a new intro cutscene, plus the entire second scene of the story. Everything that is now implemented is half an hour end-to-end. This is HTML5, it will load directly into the game.
(NB: if it offers to let you continue from an autosave of the previous build, it... probably won't work? You'll probably just get stuck in the chapel. IDK.)

A reliable client of mine is looking for more hands to work on a few commissions he has, potentially - and most likely - NSFW. Lots of it revolves around making RPGMaker-esque sprites, but not only. If anyone is interested, drop me a DM!
