there was a cruel experiment in the 60s:

they shocked dogs in cages. some could jump to a safe place. those kept a healthy level of agency. the ones who could not lay down and accepted their suffering

it's the same with people:

Das ist doch eine unbedingt die Privatsphäre betreffende Informationssammlung, und die liegt bei einem US-Konzern?

I'm not trying to make any claims about the physical location of the hosting hardware 🙂

I think you can check physical locations of the hardware itself by looking up a server on https://fedidb.org
