I decided to fire up my personal instance again after a little hiatus, so I guess it's time for another #Introduction. I've been on the #Fediverse since late 2022. I'd never had much of a social media presence before that, but seeing the accelerating #Enshittification of the social web, I felt I had to get involved somehow. So, here I am, doing my small bit for the #OpenWeb by learning about the technology, by advocating for it and by simply trying to be an active member of the #Community. As an aside, there should be a branch of the Judicial tree that is staffed by people who understand technology and the implications therein. (Just sayin, as someone who had thousands of pages of material stolen "fairly" for LLM.) These courts don't understand what they're ruling on.

The acceptance of botlickers and sloppers to use AI slop code in programming I see on Mastodon is disgusting. I know it's difficult to randomly call out people in public, but there really needs to be more open pushback against this revolting crap.

W temacie kremu do golenia, dawno temu zrezygnowałem z pianek i używam mydła oraz bambusowego pędzla (mam też taki z borsuczego futra, po dziadku, ale szkoda używać takiego zabytku). Mydło do golenia bardzo polecam - nie generuje śmiecia jak pianki, jedno wystarcza mi chyba na rok, do tego można je spakować do bagażu podręcznego do samolotu.
Ale maszynki... Od lat pacholęcych goliłem się wielorazówkami Gillette Mach 3. Nie wiem, może była na nie moda, jak zaczynałem, albo co. W każdym razie - Gillette coś zamajstrował ostatnio przy składzie, klejący się pasek "kremu" jeszcze bym przeżył - ale przy okazji wyraźnie zmienili też same ostrza, które teraz tępią się w ciągu paru użyć. #enshittification pełną gębą. No nie zdzierżę.

That could be something that could make searching the enshittified web bareable again, but then they limit it to 5 websites you can block. Why?!?!
I want to block all websites that track me, have bad cookie banners (no one-click denial), have paywalls, contain AI, contain propaganda etc.
I'm aware that that means blocking most of the internet and it takes a long time to add all pages to the blocklist, but then you could easily share the blocklist with others or just import the blocklist from uBlock origin.

I've personally grown to hate the security theatre of rotating my bank passwords every six months, especially because of requirements like "must contain one uppercase, one symbol, one lowercase, one special case and the blood of a unicorn."

Thanks to enshitification, I see that the Volvo is weighing me. What will it do with the data? If my weight is high will I suddenly GPL-1 commercials? Will the data be sold to insurance companies who'll raise my rates?
