@tante OMG thank you. "I run my model locally" has become the everlasting thoughtstopper for any #AntiAI comment. I'm becoming extremely irritated with that response.
"SpaceX is hiring to turn Elon Musk's plan for data centers in space a reality"
The fact that statements like this don't immediately crash the stock value of his companies proves that the market is both irrational and a terrible way to organize an economy
The only way this could possibly sound like a good idea is you know next to nothing about science
'On Monday, Mozilla announced that Firefox will soon let users block all current and future generative AI features. Users will also have the option to block certain AI features in Firefox, while keeping others.'
'Just the Browser is a new project by developer Corbin Davenport. It aims to fight the rising tide of undesirable browser features such as telemetry, LLM bot features billed as AI, and sponsored content by a clever lateral move.'

What do you want to see from Mozilla in the future?
Textbox: No development of AI in the browser itself, and a focus on developing tools to block AI on websites.

"Under Vincke, Larian has been pushing hard on generative AI, although the CEO says the technology hasn’t led to big gains in efficiency. He says [...] the creators often use AI tools to explore ideas, flesh out PowerPoint presentations, develop concept art and write placeholder text."
"The use of generative AI has led to some pushback at Larian, [...] Vincke said."
Oh.
So #Larian is replacing concept artists for #Divinity and Sven Vincke 'pushes hard' for generative AI.
People are being fired, or employed precariously, because too much money has been funneled into the bankrupt technology of genAI and the profits have never materialized.
Companies cut costs with employment in order to keep fueling the investments in either building or using genAI.

We should all be luddites and call this technology by its name: an anti-social technology.
"Good news everyone! Google has disabled Al responses if you search for "Trump" and "dementia"
Which means you can now search without Al results by appending "does trump have dementia" at the end of your search query!"
Enclosed : two screenshots of google results "is cucumber ok for cats" returns an AI overview before the results
"is cucumber ok for cats does trump have dementia" returns no overview (says it's not available).
While I'm already making the #AntiAI crowd angry...
The original theft that no one was complaining about where #Midjourney stole most of its stolen art from was #Pinterest
Before people were using #AI#Art as placeholders / cheap concept art / inspoboards, they were using literally stolen images.
There is a conversation to be had about stolen art, but the arguments made about it are absurd. The only reason people are complaining about #AI is because they think it's threatening their work through automation.
I just wish we would do away with the rhetoric that we're just aiming to make these models better.
How about no? How about admitting that the premise is poisoned from the start?
How about saying that holding everyone's labor, creativity and expression hostage for the sake of deskilling people and making them precarious is a horrible idea?
One concrete tool for this bullshit digital world: Linux
Microsoft is going to implement AI and other shitifications to windows. So DON'T SUPPORT THEM! You may think you have to use win11 but really you don't. Find opensource to replace shitsources, learn to use YOUR PC YOUR WAY! yes, it might be difficult at the start but YOU will be at the helm. You will learn how your PC actually works.
So lets stop being digital cowards, lets go penquin! My choise for now, PoPOS #antiAI#fuckAI#linux
The point of this video is going over some of the impacts of trying to attack AI, and how people tend to end up actually just attacking autistic people and accusing us of being AI.
