'Just the Browser is a new project by developer Corbin Davenport. It aims to fight the rising tide of undesirable browser features such as telemetry, LLM bot features billed as AI, and sponsored content by a clever lateral move.'

Opera GX wants to come to Linux? 🤣 Good luck.

Opera was bought by the chinese, and has become full of slop left and right.

The original team left and made . That's the browser to download.

Every now and then I find something that does not work in LibreWolf so I need to use Firefox... this time it's this gamepad tester.

There's probably some permission I need to set in LibreWolf but I haven't found it yet.

One important thing I need to keep in mind with LibreWolf is that when something does not work I need to check if it works in Firefox.

For instance the TrueNAS shell was not working, and I realized that TrueNAS wasn't broken, LibreWolf was just "protecting" me...

Which again, is a good thing, but it's sometime a bit too much protection for those of us who know what we are doing.

I made more progress with LibreWolf last night. It tries very aggressively to protect you (which is good!) but that mean you may need to work a little harder to log into some of the sites you use.

Sync seems to have brought over my plugins and bookmarks but maybe not all my saved logins.

i do like FF, but i'm getting increasingly dubious about the AI push they are doing

Fixed.

You forgot that you have offices in Massachusetts, USA. I wish you didn’t, since I believe digital sovereignty is very important right now, but you do have offices in the United States as well.

Just wondering out loud - how did you stumble across the Vivaldi browser? 🤔

@Vivaldi
Stumbled upon it one day in 's app store's “New and Updated” section. 'Twas actually the version, which doesn't really have the best and , as it's , so I wasn't drawn to it at first, but just kept in my . A few days later, started having a lot of (it was my bad, actually, but anyway) and I switched to for a while. A little time after, I found out about some ugly things M$ does through its , and looked for an . like were already too for me, after using , and thus, when I saw as a powerful alternative, I didn't hesitate a moment and tried it.

That's the most part of the story, but… there's a second : At first, I was like a in front of a pot full of , so… I obviously broke the browser in just one, two days. In the meanwhile, I also managed to repair Brave, and I was thinking of leaving V, considering it too . But luckily, I decided to give it one more chance, this time being more about up with … and here I am!

You might call me a very person, since I didn't immediately, but the is… I was simply by it… :tony_happy:
