Random note... I tend to like Niz keyboards a lot, especially with 35g domes. Their boards are like Topre but smoother and nicer. They've kind of spoiled me for MX keyboards... until today. Some sample TTC Frozen Silent V2 switches arrived, and they remind me of nothing less than Niz domes in an MX form factor.
I'm going to get some more of them and fill out this Vortex Multix board I used to test them.
The northbound bus stop on Dufferin at queen is out of service. Has been for weeks, will be for months more.
There is no signage directing people to wait one street over.
When you call the TTC about this, you get bounced between no fewer than three departments...and I finally reached someone who told me no, the stop that all buses are detouring around entirely is actually open. I guess the paperwork I got in the mail about it was just 4 pages of creative writing.
I give up. I wasted an hour trying to get clear signage, but people can just waste their time waiting, it's not important. Who cares, certainly not the city.
Hinterland Who's Who: Eglinton Crosstown. We think this is a mating pair but we're still waiting for confirmation. OK, we're still waiting for completion...take that as you will. #ttc#toronto

Line 6 Revenue Service Demonstration
September 16, 2025
Exciting News!
I'm pleased to announce that beginning Saturday, September 20, 2025, we will
officially begin the Revenue Service Demonstration for Line 6.
This marks a major milestone, and we're excited to have you be part of it.
All Customer Service Agents who signed up for Line 6 assignments are expected
to report to their scheduled locations on September 20, 2025.
In the event of any delays to the Line 6 opening, affected employees will be notified
promptly so they can report to their alternate work assignments.
This is a significant step forward, and I'm confident that together, we'll deliver the
exceptional service our customers expect—now on this new line.
If you have any questions, please speak with your supervisor.
Let's help make Line 6 a success from day one!

Yesterday I saw someone reading “Parable of the Talents” by Octavia Butler on the subway.
Talking to strangers on public transit isn’t something people generally do in Toronto, but I hope she loves that book! It’s fantastic and such a topical read for the 2020s.
And if she happens to be on Mastodon, I’ll talk to her about it here.😄
