I'm "in it" now, so I'm not going back. But transitioning from just Docker-in-Debian to everything-in-Proxmox is not without its drawbacks.
There's this new element of chasing down bottlenecks & trying to figure out how to address them.
VMs take ownership of stuff in ways that make sharing with other VMs/LXCs challenging.
Attaching storage to VMs vs LXCs have their own unique intricacies that it's taking me awhile to wrap my head around. Throw in USB3 HDD enclosures and it's extra-fun.
The iOS #Plex app is borked again. And once again it’s the live TV section. This time just tapping on the live TV tab causes the whole app to hang until it’s killed. Testing is overrated.
I asked Plex a bunch of questions about its data breach of user account information, but the company wouldn't say why it hasn't force-reset its users' passwords and is instead asking users to do it, or said how and to what degree it scrambled those passwords.
Plex (supposedly) sent an e-mail about a security breach in which the links don't actually go where the text says it goes. If this is legit, why the hell does it look like a phishing attempt?
Clicking a link that is supposedly to the Plex password reset screen instead uses an extremely long tracking URL where there is no guarantee the destination is as described.
And THIS folks, is why I have #Plex#movies I'm 105% onboard with stopping cruelty to animals. But that should NOT result in movies being banned because society's tolerance to something changes. If that is the case anything related to slavery should be banned. The The Andromeda Strain should be, and so on.
