We're excited to announce the newest film guides at Journeys in Film: The Fast Runner Holocaust Education Resources!
In The Fast Runner, a young Polish girl comes of age in 1938 during the rise of the Nazi party and subsequently the Holocaust. She is challenged by the compassion shown by her Rabbi toward their oppressors, and faces a critical test of her beliefs. The film helps viewers connect personally to the tragedy of the Holocaust and the dehumanizing impact of hatred and oppression. This 15-minute short film is a powerful teaching tool!
Subjects: Civics, Community Service Learning, English Language Arts, European History, Film Literacy History, Holocaust Education, Media Literacy, Social Studies, World History, and World War II History.
In this detail from the Holocaust Education film The Fast Runner, there is a close-up of a young girl's face in black and white. The title appears in yellow-gold letters across the bottom, followed by the hashtag "#WeRemember".
