Devs who work at startups and small companies: have you noticed in recent years a shift from having a manager who’s overseeing your project, monitoring progress, setting deadlines, and dealing with communicating with stakeholders to more expectations on the developer to do that stuff? I don’t know if it’s unique to my jobs or a larger trend in management philosophy.
