Sketch of an anthro cat with glowing blue eyes in a white dress and big white bow on her head stepping into dark water. The water is glowing blue as it is disturbed.
So far the speedpaint function is holding up well, at least while I'm working at half the sizes I usually do and in single sitting sessions. Anything beyond that and I begin to worry that my computer can't take it.
Speedpaint sketch of an anthro male cat skating with inline skates. He has long blue hair, a black crop top with eyelet details and a blue plaid skirt with an attached pocket.
A bunch of fish in a quasi medieval manuscript style. There's a sunfish, a weird dunkleosteus thing with huge tusks, a weird coelacanth looking dude, and a few other weird guys that don't resemble any specific fish, including a very grumpy looking fish with legs at the bottom.
A digital painting of a black domestic shorthair cat. She has green eyes and half of her right ear, with wavy whiskers catching in the strong sunlight that shines on her fur, showing it up as deep brown. She looks over her shoulder at us and is just the best cat ever.
#ArtAdventCalendar Day 6.
I took various royalty free photos as reference for this one, and made up the background in the colours of magpie feathers that you only see when the sun shines on them. I was happy with how I captured the bird, and the abstract elements were fun to experiment with.

A digital painting of a European magpie, with a white belly and black head and breast. His wings are folded and he is perched on the top of a post or log, surrounded by abstract foliage in the greens, blues and purples of his shimmering black feathers. A few blurry, streaky feather shapes are dotted around in the foreground, as if other magpies have just taken off out of shot.
#ArtAdventCalendar Day 3
This one from early in 2024 is a rare example of when I painted something entirely from imagination and it sort of worked out.
Doesn't often happen, because references ftw, normally.

A digital painting of a woodland canopy seen from below, in warm browns and greens. Indistinct, fuzzy looking trunks in the background, behind a more detailed central, focal tree that stretches up into chaotic, textured, scattered brush strokes giving an impression of foliage. Dappled light falls on the trunk, but overall the everything is quite muted, like the gloom inside a forest.
Froggelio holding a little sculpture in wood of themself giving it a little kiss . A pink text over a teal background says "I've only had Gelio for a day and a half but if anything happened to them i would unalive everyone in this instance and then myself" to scarpyro by Cleef Hanger
I'm really new to digital art, and drawing in general, but here's a little #AlphonseElric I drew! I had a lot of fun following along with
@JohnMcdevitt's Anime faces A-Z, and intended to try my own hand at it, but considering how long it took me to do this one and then actually remember to post it, I'm not sure how far I'll get xP
Headshot illustration of Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Done in a sort of chibi flat style intended to make his normally imposing armoured appearance much more cutesy.
Really happy with this one, I feel like my line art has improved immensely over the past couple months! I used to find the pens far too difficult to ink with, but here I am using the "Real G-pen" and I think it turned out pretty well :)
Anime faces A to Z: 'E' is for Eucliwood Hellscythe!
Not as happy with this one honestly, it's not bad by any means, but as one of my first waifus, I don't feel like I did her justice. Oh well, I definitely learned a lot and that's the goal, so I guess mission accomplished :P
Really happy with this one, I don't know if it's because I took an involuntary break from illustration, or because we were discussing it on stream, but I felt I was really able to let go and embrace the imperfections making inking much less stressful. The textured pen was also a joy to use, will definitely come back to that one. :)
Pretty happy with this one, I think it's ever so slightly out of proportion, but I'm really impressed with how quickly it come together! Had it done in just over 2 hours, which is really fast for me xP
I'm definitely finding a workflow that works for me :)
Dang. Straight up impressed with myself with this one. Not perfect by any means, but I think it looks great. I used the Dry ink brush for the line art, and while it was great to work with, once coloured it left a strange texture as though you were looking at the image in the wrong resolution. Oh well, I think adding the paper texture mitigated most of that, plus it looks cool.
Anime Faces A to Z: 'J' is for Jojo, or more specifically, a young Joseph Joestar.
Whoo boy, I knew Jojo was gonna be tricky, but man, this one was a real challenge. I think it turned out okaaaay, but not my favourite piece in the series.
Maybe a bit of a stretch for the concept of this series, but chat insisted and honestly it was a nice little change. I think it turned out great! One of my favourite pieces so far!
Jokes aside, I feel like my male characters haven't been my best entries, so I really didn't want to do L after doing Jojo and Isshiki back to back :P So chat voted on Leafa instead. And I'm quite happy with the result! ^^
