Of course those of us who were also covered Lord of the Flies. Animal Farm, 1984, and Fahrenheit 451 in school. These days I think they'd teach that the pigs and Big Brother were the good guys.

I went looking for Perch recipes and the "smart search" decided I meant peach and gave smoothie, ice cream, and cobbler recipes. I don't think I'll be hungry for while now. :squirtle_puke:

Many years ago, I started publishing maps, tokens, and adventures for TTRPGs. Every now and again I poke at some of them to see if I can rekindle some of the creativity (most of it has been crushed out of me). Today I was reminded of one of the first sets I created Festhall Frivolity. It featured a tavern/festhall map with a lower level and escape tunnels along with a collection of male and female companion tokens (PG). This set and most of my other work can be found on Ko-Fi, Roll20 Marketplace, and DriveThruPRG which are all linked in my profile. I had big idea once.

I could be mistaken, but I see Fediverse interaction as more organic/direct. A post without hashtags is a cross between screaming into the void (low follower count) and addressing an audience (high follower count) with your content ultimately being spread by word of mouth (Boosts). Adding a hashtag would be the equivalent of posting on a bulletin board or presenting to a special interest group. Those who want to know will be able to find your post easier.

I don't think it's advertisements that are disliked but the unscrupulous use of tracking data and the bombardment of information which we neither asked for nor want. The latter is the primary use-case for "influencers" in my experience.

I might have just found a way to thwart the push for AI use in development. I used it to generate a product plan. The result was far superior and more informative than anything the product manager has provided in years.

I've been negligent but I've really been running on fumes lately. I'm going to make up for it right now though.

Everyone stop being assholes to each other. All countries need to be given back to their people. Criminals are to report to prison. Billionaires need to step up and help resolve Hunger and Homelessness. Corporations should be created for the good of their employees and not the greed of their stock holders.

I'm sure I missed a couple of things, but that should be a good start. Did it work? Do I need to wait until tomorrow to see it kick in?
