Question for 3D graphics devs/artists

We’re starting a student project that will explore making some of our recent research on GPIS modeling/rendering practical and usable by 3D artists.

Think or modeling, but with procedural fuzziness/noise applied that allows you to freely transition from surface-like to volume-like appearance.

Goal will be to explore how to design good interactive authoring tools for this representation.
