“The term "antifa" is short for anti-fascist;“

EVERYONE. And I mean EVERYONE should be antifa, if not, only “fascist” is left

It’s pretty disgraceful how parties and governments think of classifying it as terrorists

In my eyes those parties and governments are the real terrorists

I would like to be Chrisjen Avasarala: impeccably-dressed, running things, swearing like a sailor.

But I am Camina Drummer: barely keeping it together, sort of in charge, with a lot of complicated relationships and a strong eyeliner game.

I had posted a quote about fascism here that has been debunked. Thank you to my vigilant friends who called me on it.

This one checks out:
The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.
—Franklin D. Roosevelt

As Umberco Eco reminds us, Fascism is tactics for gaining and holding power, with three pillars: (1) demonization of domestic enemies; (2) preposterous lies; and (3) contempt for democratic institutions.

Uhh, so I opened the news coverage of Trump's bullshit cracker tantrum today and uhh...

the words you folks on tv are looking for but aren't saying are "profoundly racist."

It is "profoundly racist" for a cracker nazi politician, to question a Black person's Blackness. Like not a little, not "there's some wiggle room here" it's profoundly racist. Like "beat your ass and run you off the block" level-racist.

Hope that helps.

NY Times: After the 2020 election, as some Trump supporters falsely claimed that Biden had stolen the office, many of them displayed a startling symbol outside their homes, on their cars and in online posts: an upside-down American flag. One of the homes flying an inverted flag during that time was the residence of SCOTUS Justice Alito. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/16/us/justice-alito-upside-down-flag.html?unlocked_article_code=1.sU0.dA3q.762sBv-t9c_6&smid=url-share

@w7voa This is disturbing. Even for someone who litigates at SCOTUS and thus I know every word Alito has written.
