Basically: If you run OpenClaw connected to any meaningful system you are not fit to design, program or run any kind of software. That disregard for security and quality should leave a black mark on you for many years.

@tante If the people doing that would understand security they would be very upset.

I'm not worried about the competent people, I'm worried about the majority that doesn't even consider why giving access is a bad idea.

Anyone using / for photo management? Like Adobe Lightroom, minus the editing features?

I like the idea of managing my RAW photos as normal files, and presumably building an Obsidian plugin to handle RAW preview and the (intentionally very limited) kinds of edits I'd want. But not obvious to me whether Obsidian is a reasonable foundation for that purpose.

@donmccurdy Think using Obsidian might be a bit far. Considering there are good open alternatives like Darktable, learning curve was a bit steep but worth it in the end

Thanks to WINE, Proton, and Valve's hardware, a significant milestone has been achieved with 90% of Windows games running on Linux, making nine out of ten Windows games accessible on a new Linux installation. Users are flocking to other platforms during the transition from the Windows 10 to 11 eras. Thank you Microsoft once again for enabling the age of Linux gaming, you are our biggest marketing partner 😉

@nixCraft The fact I no longer check protondb and just assume it will work is wild to me. Had a few duds (haste was the last fail) but overall the feel is good.

@babble_endanger @nixCraft That's my main beef with a lot of these numbers. Anything at scale costs a lot if it's used worldwide. i want a graph that shows me the cost of power to train, usage for 1on1 queries, usage for generating all that slop video stuff on YouTube.

Listening to Unauthorized Bread from @pluralistic
It was weird and refreshing to just buy a few MP3s to listen to an audiobook.

I wish more books did so I could ditch Audible.

Good listen so far but I'm only an hour in so review later.

@KenOh@feddit.online avatar KenOh appropriateghost Journal is mostly to collect things and pages are references. I usually make a page per project with a main task in it tagged with project. That way I can easily find my open projects. Put that in the sidebar and while journalling know what to link to for time records/meetings.

The creator of Vim, Bram Moolenaar, allegedly wrote the entire initial version of Vim using only a magnetized needle and a steady hand to directly manipulate bits on a hard drive. Thus, Vim is pure, made without using any other text editor.

@nixCraft I'll accept using binary, dd and straight to the disk block device. As Linus intended

Lets say I have a base damage of 100 and skill that does double damage and another skill that does +5 damage. What would you expect?

toolsontech ,
@toolsontech@pkm.social avatar

@grumpygamer While my engineer brain would go for order of operations. When it's gaming then big number go brrrr. You do risk exploits once players figure it out as they will maximise the plus bonuses to hit max multipliers.
