This is the same reason tomatoes are borderline impossible to emulate artificially. Instead of one or two volatile chemicals that create the aroma, there is something like twenty different compounds that makes tomato-flavour.

teslasaur OP ,

Clearly. Couldn't they tell it was a toy gun?

teslasaur OP ,

You first.

teslasaur ,

Lets be honest. If they had intervened, we would sit here and taking the piss out of the U.N. for using force during a peace-mission. Can't win.

teslasaur ,

How much wood is that?
*Nvm i found it, it's 3,62 cubic meters. I thought it wasn't a unit of measurement.

1,5 cubic meters of birch, ready for the fire cost between 180-250$ right now in sweden.

I would assume that we have an insanely low price compared to the rest of Europe. We practically consist of wood and lakes.

You could also buy what we call "long wood" for less than half and chop it yourself.

teslasaur ,

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. Changing one evil for another.

teslasaur ,

Ironically enough, the excess of concussions nowadays are due to overly protective gear. It gives them a sence of protection that leads to more violent tackles, which then leads to more violent headshakes.

It's like when they introduced gloves in boxing. Pre-gloves, it hurt like a motherfucker to hit someone in the face. You'd have just as big of a chance to break your hand as the opponents jaw. So they had to make the gloves 'hurt' again by making them thinner.

teslasaur ,

The proud boys are a lot of things, racist is not really one of them. The founder even moved away when they became to accepting in 2017.

Know your Enemy.

Although the Proud Boys emerged as part of the alt-right, McInnes distanced himself from the movement in early 2017, saying the Proud Boys were alt-lite while the alt-right's focus was on race.

teslasaur ,

I also go by what i heard on Jubilee surround videos, where members describe their membership.

Kinda just sounds like dull mens club, but with violent militia groups as chapters.

Duke Deuce'Em

teslasaur ,

Soy beans. A tag doesn't count if you catch with your mouth.

teslasaur ,

Why would they mention the cloven hoof as a district identifier of haram? Why wouldn't they mention the cleanliness, if that is supposed to be the reason for the ban?

The Norwegian Royal family is in complete shambles.

The Crown Princess has been implicated in the Epstein files and her son (before being wed into royalty), is currently in a very public trial for rape and sexual misconduct.

Let it burn.

teslasaur ,

Ketchup is the default pasta sauce. Felix ketchup is the one to swear by, can't stand Heinz.

Ketchup is the key ingredients in swedish mest sauce.

teslasaur ,

Your loss 🤷

teslasaur ,

Good thing that it's completely up to you if you watch it or not, and not some government or company that hushes it up.

It's the correct way to do it.

teslasaur , (edited )

Well, using a word usually mean that you have a cursory knowledge of its meaning. But they didn't exactly elaborate on what they meant by saying that sex doesn't implcitly mean consent.

The only way i could justify that position, is of they meant sex(*noun), and the description of organisms that create gametes of different size and shapes.

Sexual relations, coitus, boinking or one of the many different versions of describing the various acts of genital relationships between humans, DOES imply consent. Otherwise it is sexual misconduct or rape.

But i recon both of you already know this.

teslasaur ,

Can't take you seriously with that plastic bag on your hand.

teslasaur ,

Calling people out for hypocrisy is proper behaviour.

teslasaur ,

If you say so. Sounds pretty accurate if you ask me. But then again, i really do like the winter and being outside.

teslasaur ,

It doesn't rally have anything to do with the winter, so yeah, kinda is. Unless you're outside first, then coming in for that cozy feeling, them why would it matter if it was winter or not?

teslasaur ,

Saying they like something that they don't actually like, does.

teslasaur ,

Not really no. We have district heating, plus my computer runs quite often. I have the same cover/bedding year around. That and we have properly isolated houses, since it does get cold outside. It does backfire a bit during summer though. Especially nowadays. Most people install air conditioners now, which was unheard of 20 years ago.

teslasaur ,

I could say the same about you.

teslasaur ,

If you say you like the winter, but you don't like the winter, what would you call it other than hypocrisy?

teslasaur ,

It's not about the blanket though is it?

teslasaur ,

But their activity doesn't depend on winter. Thats the point.

teslasaur ,

The activity is the only relevant part. If I like to ice fish, I'm only gonna be able to do that during the winter. Therefore I like the winter, because it enables me to do the activity that i like.

Nothing about the winter enables you in particular to sit with cocoa and a heated blanket. Other than the fact that you like to sit under blankets with cocoa.

teslasaur ,

You can't do it at another time of year. Now i think you're the one being dense.

teslasaur ,

Why does that lead to liking winter?

I can tell that you lack reading comprehension, go back and read it again.

Liking a time of year does not require engaging in “exclusive” activities to “prove” it.

What a pointless argument then. Why do you bother arguing about liking seasons or not, if you don't care about the characteristics of a season?

Does that make me a liar if I claim to like summer?

Well, either you are lying to yourself or to me. But what do I know about you.

teslasaur ,

So being correct is a popularity contest? Really?

teslasaur ,

Your position would require omnipotence on your part to be valid, yet you claim to be able to determine the presence of hypocrisy based on factors that have no obligation to correlate with the conclusion you are claiming is obvious.

No, my point explains itself. You on the other hand require whole paragraphs to try to convince yourself that whatever you think is true, is.
Do you not understand the word "lie"?
Do you not know what the word "hypocrisy" means?

In that case I can understand how you would need to paraphrase YOURSELF. Even your own argument against me, claiming that I'M claiming to be the omnipotent one falls on the fact that you only care about your own arguments, making you, dare I say, a hypocrite?

teslasaur ,

Winter is defined as the cold season, meaning snow, shorter days.

If you say you like the winter but you dislike the cold and the snow, then what would you call that?

You keep arguing as if I am the one who defined what winter is. I obviously didn't. So when you make the claim that "I" somehow define what winter is, I'm frankly at a loss of what to say other than that you don't understand what words mean.

But i suppose anything is winter if you do it during the winter.

teslasaur ,

Well, since you don't actually enter a password to decrypt a bitlocker device, you can intercept the key data with physical connectors to the TPM

Bitlocker just makes it slightly more tedious to retrieve data. As long as you have all other components intact aswell.

teslasaur ,

Could also be the fact that green day makes halfway decent music on occasion. Bad Bunny sounds exactly like everything that i hate about new pop. The vocals sound pitch corrected, together with the projection of "i don't even wanna be here"-muted nasally fronted singing.

teslasaur , (edited )

No, it's pretty objectively shit. But i cant blame him for being a product of his time.

Here you go, found the study that measured the content of western pop over the past 50 years: https://www.nature.com/articles/srep00521

It's even worse now.

Unless you're in a militia, owning an AR-15 is just LARPing

This is referring to all the people who say I own this gun to protect against a tyrannical government. While I agree fighting a tyrannical government is noble Most of those people aren't serious about it and are just LARPing. If you are serious about fighting for your freedom then you'd know that fighting alone will get you ...

teslasaur ,

There are plenty of hunters that have them in Sweden. In fact when they tried to ban the AR-15, there was serious backlash from the association of Swedish hunters. I think it mainly affected the right wing party in government as they were imposing the ban on their constituents.

The ban was discussed after the mass shooting in Örebro 2025, where the shooter used an AR-15.

I dont really know where i stand on the issue anymore. Since you need to be a licensed hunter and register the gun, most precautions are met. i don't really see a difference between one semi-automatic rifle and another either. I guess i don't think they should be banned in sweden, as it would appear that we were able to have them for decades without incidents. Given that the rules are in place and registration is mandatory.

teslasaur ,

Funny. This kind of counter protest suggestion usually gets downvoted on Lemmy. Good change.

teslasaur ,

"Denmark can't claim land, just because their boat landed there 500 years ago"

I.. I...but you.. how..?

He argues like a religious person.

teslasaur ,

Settlers landed in the Americas guided by God. Totally different.

Like I said. Religious nutcase.

teslasaur , (edited )

Uhm. Most animals live by the grace of chance and circumstance. Barely getting enough to sustain life.

I think I understand what you're trying to say, but you can't seriously think that pre-industrial age people were sitting around and doing nothing? Post-industrial age came with an explosion of people to match the new amount of resources. If we don't produce the resources then people die.

Do you want a simpler life or an easier life? Those are two very different things.

teslasaur , (edited )

I'm all for testing 6 hour work days.

But the fantasy of universal income is too farfetched. Who will produce the food? Are we to collectively agree that we take turns on producing the food?
I sure as hell don't want that, and there lies the core issue. How do you force people to do things that they don't want to do?

Lol, these downvotes. Explain the system instead. How do you propose to force people?

teslasaur ,

Why the hell do you immediately think of slavery? You don't force people to do anything. If you need work done, you pay people to do it. Obviously.

So just capitalism then. But with extra steps.

And since workers have a guaranteed income to fall back upon, employers have no choice but to pay a fair wage. That's the entire point.

No..? The ones that work to produce would control the supply and the prices would reflect it. Kind of like that other system that starts with c.

Seriously, if you want to understand UBI, there are whole studies available online for your reading pleasure. There are dozens of books on the subject.

I've read plenty of articles about it, not sold on it. Was curious if anyone had any way to sell it. You just present it as capitalism, which i suppose is one way to do it. Though I would argue that people would stop doing necessary jobs, since they no longer need to work.

teslasaur ,

capitalism is when a small amount of people own the means of production.

Wrong. That would be oligarchy. But i can tell that you are confused since you present UBI as capitalism without even realizing it.

teslasaur ,

I think you'll find that it's a whole lot easier to find people willing to kill for a paycheck, rather than dying for one.

Meaning of course, bring guns to protests to show that you have them. Those chicken shits wont start shooting if they are at risk of dying themselves.

teslasaur ,

Much better that the government has the guns?

teslasaur ,

Nonsense. They are cowards that doesn't trade their lifes for a paycheck. In the us you are legally allowed to have your firearm at a protest. Start using them.
