Marriott's website absolutely refuses to let me log in -- multiple browsers get same result -- apparently because I use a VPN and block trackers.

Hyatt's website is happy to let me in.

The stories we tell matter. I know this not from watching but from memory. I was just a child, held behind barbed wire in a U.S. internment camp, when an atomic bomb obliterated Hiroshima—killing members of my family. That horror etched itself into my life and forged my belief in the urgency of disarmament. I’ve heard this horror reflected over and over again in the stories of other hibakusha—survivors of these unimaginable attacks.

When I was in middle school in the early 1970’s by John Hersey was part of the curriculum, required reading. While I can’t claim to remember the details, I still remember the experience of reading it. Is it still read in schools? It should be read by every student in every school in the . (I’m guessing it’s not but would love to hear from parents of middle schoolers and younger people. )

Not sure this is related but since I started using CanvasBlocker addon, they make me use MFA every time with 8 digit pin and pw again. It’s as if part of their auth process is digital fingerprinting. Caveat: I’m not a hacker or expert (in case it wasn’t obvious). Why not just wait for page load? Shpilkes?

FWIW I stopped reading or trusting David Leonhardt during the pandemic. He’s incompetent in that sphere as well.
