If only a LOT more entities would do this, the internet would be a far better place.

is a TERRIBLE system to host information, particularly information that is requested on a regular basis, such as a FAQ etc.

If it wasn't for World of Warcraft and my guild, I probably wouldn't touch Discord much, if at all.

I've been a massive fan of internet Forums for decades, and still hope they can make a come back. But I've been hoping that for years.

The only real place I see them in regular use these days is for communities of various Linux distros. And there, they foster a great sense of community, something that Discord's very transient nature largely prevents for the most part.
