🦊Howdy! Blobun v1.0.5 is now out! This build primarily focuses on fixing puzzle element interactions people found that we never even thought of while making the game, but it has a few other improvements too. Please check out the patch notes below

🦊This build features a new debug menu. There's not much there right now, but the star feature is that now you can set input devices as "Ignored." If you're on Linux and you had the game pick up a trackpad or somethin as a gamepad, use this to fix it!

🦌someday we should do an itch sale with the goal of "help us get a new computer" if people would be down for that. our computer isn't bad and it's still working well, but it also can't run windows 11 so come october we either gotta do something or they have to have figured out SAI 2 in Linux

🦌(unfortunately we'd still have to have some kind of windows though, since gamemaker can't make windows builds unless you're actually in windows at the time)

we did work with some friends to spec out a midrange pc but like... 4 digit price 💦

🦌since people were curious, we're currently on a Ryzen 5 1600 with 16GB of ram and an GTX 1060 6GB, which yea does gaming and stuff but microsoft says it's too old

we're looking at the Ryzen 5 9600X with 64GB of ram (because it's cheap) and a Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB

pricey, but we'd be set forever

🦊everyone knows that it's bad luck to walk under a ladder, but I encountered a unique situation today: a ladder leaned against a building nearby a door. The question is, does the hitbox of the bad luck extend left to cover the door's area? or is it safe here? I've made a diagram of this situation

A green box is drawn over the area directly under the ladder, labeled "logical bad luck hitbox." In addition to this, there's a hitbox covering the door as well, labeled "potential bad luck hitbox" which considers if the bad luck's hitbox extends leftwards or not to cover the door

🦊Fun fact: All of these floating puzzle keys in Blobun are actually 3D objects! If you look closely, you can see their polygonal edges (or, just look at the purple gem or key LOL)

FOR NERDS: They use vertex coloring and most of them have no back sides at all

So, may I introduce to you the sequel, Brobun. It takes place in a gritty future, and is coming out for the Playstation 3 and the XBOX 360

A screenshot of Blobun, but it's been heavily modified. It's now all sebia colored, with high contrast and a gritty texture over it. The edges of the screen have been darkened to make it more serious. Stephanie's face has been replaced with the "Determined" face from the rage comics of yesteryear

🦨stopping by to say: since no one's found any major bugs with Blobun on itch, and since we pretty much just launched the game yesterday, we just marked it as "Released"

Blobun effectively came out on the 64th day of the year. Let's hope that Zeromus doesn't choose too expunge it
