Can somebody explain to me how a weapons system can fire three missiles off target by 600m, hitting and murdering a school full of children? Asking for an entire planet.

  1. Open the "Settings" app.
  2. Scroll down and tap "Apps".

The picture, "The Fall of Icarus" reminds me of the opening line from Danny Boyle's 2007 movie "Sunshine"; an incredibly beautiful and underrated movie.

> Our sun is dying. Mankind faces extinction. Seven years ago the Icarus project
> sent a mission to restart the sun but that mission was lost before it reached
> the star. Sixteen months ago, I, Robert Capa, and a crew of seven left earth
> frozen in a solar winter. Our payload a stellar bomb with a mass equivalent to

> I love my job. I make a great salary, there’s a clear path to promotion, and a never-ending supply of cold brew in the office. And even though my job requires me to commit sociopathic acts of evil that directly contribute to making the world a measurably worse place from Monday through Friday, five days a week, from morning to night, outside work, I’m actually a really good person.

The new Veritasium video on degrees of separation and how / networks build, grow, and converge over time into “hub” nodes, is not too dissimilar to the convergence of a handful of large servers representing homes to most of the fediverse. 🤔

“Hope is the thing with feathers”
By Emily Dickinson, 1861

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the Gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I’ve heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
