Pats offense needs to stay on the field and give the defense a break. Can’t keep this up all night.

noahm ,

It’s only a matter of time! (that’s what I keep telling myself, anyway… 😬)

noahm ,

Same, we didn”t get one

noahm ,

HOW THE FUCK IS DARNOLD AVOIDING ALL THIS PRESSURE????

noahm ,

Final score may be 12-0, though.

noahm ,

finally!

noahm ,

With the way the Patriots offense has been scoring this postseason, it kinda feels like it.

noahm ,

Yeah, I… I don’t know about that.

noahm ,

46, I think you mean. I still have scars from that.

noahm ,

Yeah, the question was raised here, too. It’s not going to happen, but tbh I wonder if there’s any actual value in keeping him in.

noahm ,

nice to not get shut out

noahm ,

Good night

noahm ,

I swear the thing I miss the most about reddit is /r/nfl. I hope we can grow it here next season.

noahm ,

Occasionally a little too quiet, maybe.

noahm ,

Presumably the confetti can just be sent back to wherever it came from. The Patriots Super Bowl Champions gear (hats, shirts, etc) is apparently donated and winds up going to international charities. Winds up in Africa and similarly far away places.

noahm ,

Sure, if you ignore all the wins, he didn’t win much. But the fact is, he did. He won more than anybody else. History speaks for itself. Plenty of coaches are in the HOF with fewer accomplishments, and plenty of “better” teams accomplished less. There’s no rational argument for not including BB in the HOF.

noahm ,

Fucking with the Super Bowl might truly be one of the stupidest things this administration could do. And that’s saying a lot.

noahm ,

It often takes a few wash cycles to get the Jets smell to go away.

noahm ,

Yeaaaaaaahhhhh!!

noahm ,

Ooof, that muffed punt hurts!

noahm ,

That drive was something to see.

noahm ,

I think the Seahawks fans in the stadium saw it the way you did. It’s a penalty if you drive the qb into the ground, but they didn’t do that here. It looked clean to me.

noahm ,

Not sure about the rule, but I know Flutie played in this game (after the 90’s)

noahm ,

Hard to do without the ball…

noahm ,

As someone who’s spent almost my whole life (so far) between New England and Seattle… damn now I’m torn.

noahm ,

Yeah, he was a backup in New England when it came time to think about who was going to replace Brady. If Stidham was the guy, they’d have kept him. He wasn’t a disaster, but there’s a reason he’s not a starter in the NFL.

noahm ,

I don’t see how this could possibly work out for the Bills. It feels like New England hiring Jerrod Mayo last season. He was a good player in his time, and may someday make a good coach, but hiring him straight into a head coaching role was doomed to fail.

So please, Buffalo, hire Rivers!

The Military Is Being Forced to Plan for an Unthinkable Betrayal ( www.theatlantic.com )

The United States is a global superpower, and its military trains for war in every domain. During my years as a military educator, I saw American officers wrestle with any number of scenarios designed to challenge their thinking and force them to adapt to surprises. One case we never considered, however, was how to betray and ...

For many people, I suspect the answer would be “Fuck yeah, finally the leash is coming off!”

noahm , (edited )

Who’s ready for another 5+ years of the Pats dominating the AFCE! 😎

noahm ,

Makes me smile every time.

noahm , (edited )

It's going to be snowy in foxboro!

edit: also, lemmy really needs flair

noahm ,

Texans defense can definitely keep them in this game. The score could be really lopsided right now.

noahm ,

More than the patriots right now, that's for sure. Patriots offense is playing like they're drunk.

noahm ,

I’m really hoping this game goes to double overtime. Don’t stop!

noahm ,

Well, there was that INT…

noahm OP ,

Sounds like it was the second to last play. So the kneeldown sort of thing they did to try to set up the ball in the center of the field for the kick? It’s crazy because he was interviewed on the field just after the game and didn’t seem to be having any issues. How do you go from that to needing surgery so quickly? Did his foot come off with his shoe when he got back to the locker room?

noahm OP ,

Go Patriots!

noahm OP ,

What’s Peyton up to these days?

noahm ,

Buffalo’s got the momentum, but I’m not sure we’re done with the turnovers yet.

noahm ,

That was so cool!

noahm ,

What did I say about not being done with the turnovers yet?

noahm ,

The fact that the bills were ever even in that game after 5 turnovers is impressive. Great game.

noahm ,

Well, the first one was good. Not so sure about this Hawks/9ers game.

noahm , (edited )

That’s incomprehensible.

Edit: And what does he get for it? Season ending surgery on a broken ankle!

noahm ,

Yeah, the only NFL game I’ve ever seen in person was Hawks/9ers, and I lived in Seattle until a couple years ago. Definitely familiar with the rivalry, but a blowout isn’t much fun. Hopefully it doesn’t get out of hand.

noahm ,

Or maybe he just doesn’t want to risk getting drafted by the Jets.
