Let’s just say the stunningly obvious, for those who have a scintilla of scientific curiosity. The pressure from the global south will continue, with each passing year as the escalation of desperation in the face of unrelenting makes itself felt on southern borders.

Auctioning off equipment and talking tough will not reduce and limited US aid has reduced such likelihood. Prepare for the horrors of a militarized border. It will get ugly

There’s something afoot in Iowa! Second flip of a GOP state seat there this year. Well done!

Delighted to see this outcome. But let’s be clear, only highly motivated politically attuned folks vote in by elections.

A lot more heavy lifting needs doing for the and presidential elections when less partisan folks vote.

Earlier this year, I made two trips to Sudan, where a terrible civil war has displaced 14 million people. The state is absent, international institutions are weak. Outside powers, motivated by greed and nihilism, have stepped into the vacuum, amplifying the conflict. In Sudan, the liberal world order has ended, and nothing has replaced it.

  1. The conflict in is little covered in Western . I imagine if a similar set of casually statistics was accumulating in Europe, there would be far more coverage

Sadly us Westerners seem to be able to shrug off the savagery being meted out by paramilitaries. I’d suggest , overt, unconscious, or barely acknowledged, is at the root.

We didn't have enough medical privacy to begin with, but now the Trump regime, Big Tech (all of it), and Big Medicine are going to utterly shred the last vestiges of privacy.

Because they can. And because big money will be made by screwing the rest of us.

A medical record system which enables secure transfer of private data is essential to better health outcomes. However it only works well when all citizens have a tightly regulated health system as opposed to the wealth extraction entities masquerading as health insurance companies in America

    1. How much legal jeopardy is in?

The classified documents case will make use of a recording which indicates that had a highly sensitive document which he knew was NOT declassified.

The chain of evidence looks strong and while there is much news media spinning, a court of law is more rigorous environment where focus on fact is primary
