    @nocontexttrek This is my absolute favorite Spock line in anything because it lampshades both the series’ post-scarcity society and the relationship between the normally-exasperated Bones’ and normally-unflappable Spock.

    In fact, the term pre-dates their support. Ben Hammersley coined the term “podcasting” while covering audio for The Guardian in early February 2004: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2004/feb/12/broadcasting.digitalmedia

    It was subsequently adopted by the audioblogging community, including @adam . Apple only added direct iTunes support in late June 2005.

    @vkc If you have a , the Network Link Conditioner add-on to System Settings[^*] can ratchet down your bandwidth, packet loss, and both link and DNS latency.

    A similar setting becomes available when you enable an or for development.

    Sadly, it only accepts bandwidths in integers of Kbps and Mbps, so I can’t find out what it’s like to do on with a 300 baud .

    “Profits” aren’t evil. They’re just the result of customers exchanging their profits for the result of your work.
