Back in my day, we bought things once and actually owned them. Imagine that! You'd get a CD, a movie, a game, or a piece of software, it was a tangible item with a set price that was all yours. No strings attached.

Now? Everything's a fucking subscription. It's like renting your life, but somehow it ends up being way more expensive in the long run. Go figure.

This is why open source matters a lot. It still gives you freedom and whenever possible please support your favourite FLOSS app 👍

The New York Times will admit that it screwed up with its organization-wide campaign against Mamdani about an hour after it admits that it did the same thing to Clinton in 2016 -- which means, in both cases, never.

The arrogance of the so-called Paper of Record is matched only by its bad faith.

In the same way that (in some states) one can vote in the other parties primary, just to mess it up, I sometimes feel that the NYT is an out post of Fox News who is a trojan horse, inside the news stream on our side.
