Tbh the simplistic props and extremely basic CGI is arguably what gives TOS its charm, it feels almost like a play with hand crafted props that are clearly props. It makes the series feel more lighthearted and silly (in a good way).

    You mean a reaction to principled leftists who understand the dictatorship of capital fundamentally cannot be voted away thus making liberalism an illusion? Because from your posts and comments you seem to be a shitlib who thinks they're a leftist.

    If you do not aspire for liberation and seek little more then stability in oppression than you are not a leftist. On a fundamental level what leftism is not an arbitrary position than one has because they support a 0.00001% tax hike on the wealthy. It is not the position that oppression is acceptable if it helps achieve personal comfort, the idea of so called "stable" liberal leadership where oppression and war actively get worse in the name of being "lesser evils". The idea that everything from genocide, oppression of the workers, subjection of minorities, and an absolute incompetence when it comes to doing anything productive is a fine basis for governence because "the alternative is worse" never once questioning why we must choose between weaponized incompetence and absolute reactionaries.

    As an objective fact liberation can only come with the abolition of private property. The underlying system of oppression must be destroyed not mitigated. This is the leftist way, it is the way of revolution and total liberation. No more should we beg for our daily bread and shelter, no more shall we suffer by capitalist exploitation, and no more shall the worker be degraded. I ask not that my specific school of thought be implemented, I ask only that true socialism be achived in my lifetime. Perhaps if society awoke to the class struggle and achived true class consciousness one day communism may be achieved.

    I prefer to just call them liberals, mostly because the grand majority of right wingers are just libs (specifying right wing is uneeded because all liberals are right wing)

    • "conservatives" = conservative-liberals (economically liberal and socially conservative)
    • "libertarians" = liberals (I mean they're literally just classical liberals)
    • "liberals" = neoliberals (an inherently right wing ideology)
    • "social democrats" = neoliberalism (but with a fancy coat of paint)

    From my point of view leftism inherently means revolutionary and revolutionary is the opposite of reactionary. Supporting capitalism and private property in any capacity is inherently reactionary as is bigotry and class collaborationism. It is therefore impossible for a leftist to also be reactionary or hold significant reactionary positions (if they did they wouldnt be a leftist. Back to my main point it doesnt matter if someone is a "libertarian", "social liberal" or "conservative", the positions many hold on Tea is inherently reactionary and in my opinion thats all I really need to know.

    Cheap in terms of quality not price, at the end of the day its a fast food burger sold at restaurant level prices. I mean for a fast food burger its great but for a fast food burger its expensive as hell. Im not saying "oh its restaurant level prices just go to a restaurant" because they're expensive as hell too, I dont have a solution other than to focus on getting the most food for your money.

    Tbh most optimizations save so little ram thats its impossible to notice, if you have 16gb or hell even 8gb of ram its hard to notice the minuscule amounts saved with a WM especially a Wayland WM such as Sway/Niri and especially Hyperland.

    Well I'm a transfem and a lesbian so two groups that regularly get fetishized. As almost a response I try to stand out as little as possible, wear clothes that cover as much as possible, and yeah on a societal level I don't think people doing this is a good thing but on an individual level it makes me feel more safe.

    Im pretty sure the oldest handhelds that people actually played in public (yes there were earlier but I'm talking something you would actually see) would be the GB/GBA which was mostly played by millennials. Meanwhile the DS was played by a mix of millennials and older Gen z.

    I personally ascribe to the uniparty theory, behind the scenes the corporate liberals and reactionaries scheme with capitalists to keep the worker oppressed. Democracy is a hoax and the system is little more than a dictatorship of capital.

    I live in NYC completely car free, I take the subway everywhere and I just can't imagine my life without a good transportation system. I would genuinely recommend anyone who lives in a hostile area with no transit move.
