Yes, some are. I have seen it a few times online, but people tend ti talk big on the internet. What really scared me was when I heard it in person.
I live in a pretty conservative area and I was at a bar the day after Charlie Kirk was assassinated and some woman said, and I quote, "The liberals don't realize that this means war. They're not ready, but I am. Send me to the frontlines!" Her friend asked, "You mean you want a civil war?" And she answered, "Yes. They fired the first shot. It's on now."
I didn't know it was fake when I crossposted it. The original didn't give any indication it was fake. I'll delete the crossposted as to not decieve anyone else.

"the medium is silica crystal, similar to optical cable, it's highly durable. It's also capacious: The technology can store up to 360 TB of data on a 5-inch glass platter."
Why do you keep putting kidnapped in quotes? Do you believe the forced removal of a whole family is not considered kidnapping? Or are you just being pedantic: "It's not a kidnapping if they took more than just the kid. It's an abduction."
if you are downvoting in this thread **you are why the Dems lost **
Oh, get over yourself. There were plenty of reasons to downvote your comment. The fact that people disagree with what you're saying doesn't affect the outcome of any elections. You never know, you could be being downvoted by actual MAGA, not the "Blue MAGA" or whatever label you've branded us with.
Sounds like you have a reading comprehension problem. I downvoted you for being so condescending, it had nothing to do with politics.
You think the only reason someone would downvote you (god forbid) is because they're emotionally attached to a political party? That's laughable. Like I said earlier, get over yourself.
A tone argument (also called tone policing) is a type of ad hominem aimed at the tone of an argument instead of its factual or logical content in order to dismiss a person's argument.
Please show me where I disagreed with anything you said. Where did I "dismiss a person's argument"? I'll wait. But I'll be waiting a long time because all I did was say I downvoted you for being so condescending.
@everyone GrapheneOS is being heavily targeted by the French state because we provide highly secure devices and won't include backdoors for law enforcement access. They're conflating us with companies selling closed source products using portions of our code. Both French state media and corporate media are publishing many stories attacking the GrapheneOS project based on false and unsubstantiated claims from French law enforcement. They've made a clear threat to seize our servers and arrest our developers if we do not cooperate by adding backdoors. Due to this, we're leaving France and leaving French service providers including OVH. We need substantial help from the community to push back against this across platforms. People malicious towards us are also using it as an opportunity to spread libel/harassment content targeting our team, raid our chat rooms and much more. /e/ and iodéOS are both based in France, and are both actively attacking GrapheneOS. /e/ receives substantial government funding. Both are extremely non-private and secure which is why France is targeting us while those get government funding. We need a lot more help than usual and we're sending our the first ever notification to everyone on the server because this is a particularly bad situation. If people help us, it will enable us to focus more on development again including releasing experimental Pixel 10 releases very soon.
but honestly, after discovering its creator is a real mental case, unless the project gets forked out of his control, I wouldn't trust it.
I know it's different (Lemmy isn't supposed to protect your privacy) but are you familiar with Lenny's lead developer? Interesting fellow, to say the least.
