I like JetBrains products. They're not without issues, but on the whole, good enough and powerful enough to make my life simpler while coding.
Just installed the EAP for WebStorm & PhpStorm and wondered WTF was going on with the delayed caret movement.. they've decided to waste time and resources adding a 'smooth caret movement' that essentially just adds lag. WTaF would any serious developer want to deliberately add lag to their caret!? Weird direction lately with shitty "fluffy" aesthetics.
JetBrains Settings -> Editor -> Appearance -> 'Use Smooth Caret movement' checkbox will take you back to sanity and less for the vibe-coding JS kiddies 👍🏻
