This newbie who just celebrated 100 days of was able to install and on her VPS (to prevent the "Mastodon Hug of Death" for link preview cards on her self-hosted Ghost blog). She's very proud of herself for all the sudo commands she successfully ran today. And she's weirded out talking about herself in the third person, so: I did it YAY.

My first day on here and I've realised three things:

  1. I never used Twitter and so.. I have no point of reference. This means I have no clue about anything and feel very old, ha.

  2. People are so clever here! I have learnt so many things already. Mostly about privacy, tech and more tech. Well, I call it tech but ... Again, I have no idea what any of it means.

  3. Cat love is universal. Regardless of social media platform you can always bribe people with a cat pic and I'm not mad at that.

Like several others, I find the why interesting. Apart from the most obvious, I'd say the international crackdown on tax-havens and ending the race to the bottom on marginal tax rates, will worry the crypo-industry.
