@Daojoan
@kcase I hadn’t realized it was still working. 🤩
I used it when it still had its own rendering engine, and the only other alternative was IE for Mac.
I’m done paying untrustworthy and unethical billion-dollar corporations like Spotify for access to music that should be free and open, which is why I’ve permanently switched to Apple Music
@Daojoan a really nice way to listen to an excellent selection of music is through Radio Paradise: https://radioparadise.com
They are supported by donations, but you can listen to it freely just pointing your browser there.
And the experience is top-notch, with no ads, and also a nice section with comments for each song, for when you get curious.
@Daojoan or just accept that in order to throughly understand a task you want to optimize, you need to perform it at least 10 times sloppily.
And most of the time you never get to the fourth iteration.
For centuries, Europe bled through endless wars. Neighbours became enemies, borders became battlegrounds and generations knew only division.
The creation of the European Union changed that, proving that dialogue between 🇪🇺 countries, cooperation, and solidarity can overcome conflict.
Since then, we’ve worked to build bridges where there were once barriers: peace is not just our history. It is our mission, our responsibility, and our future.
A portrait photo of Robert Schuman, a balding man with glasses, wearing a dark suit and a striped tie, holding papers. Beside him, a quote reads: "World peace cannot be safeguarded without the making of creative efforts proportionate to the dangers which threaten it." The quote is attributed to Robert Schuman on May 9, 1950. The European Commission logo is in the top right corner.

The tech industry has a trust deficit that’s reaching crisis levels. Companies that bridge this gap with radical transparency will capture the enormous unclaimed “honesty premium.” https://paragraph.com/@signalvs/the-honesty-premium
@Daojoan I have been working on @clipperz since 2005, and we have been fully transparent all all its aspects.
We have received praises and rewards for this attitude, but the magnitude of the “honesty premium” has been far from “enormous” in our case.
Even if the project is still active, it has never been able to sustain itself independently.
We probably have our own deficiencies justifying the little tracktion we achieved, but –unfortunately– radical transparency alone is not gonna cut the deal.
