due to recent events my timeline for teaching students about non-github git hosting solutions has just accelerated; anyone have any good suggestions?

Ideally it should have a similar level of ease of use/approachability for people who haven't used git before. GitHub Desktop was a huuuge help in this regard so similar (ideally open-source) git GUIs would be a plus
