It's hilarious when Americans pity my
Norwegian tax rate. And yes. We pay more
to the state. In return, we get free
healthcare, free college, and 49 weeks of
fully paid parental leave. We do not have to
crowd-fund our cancer treatments.
Your ‘low taxes' just mean you pay private
corporations a premium for the privilege of
still going broke when you get sick. Our
system is an investment in human dignity.
