Was it a VPN/VPS/CDN'd IP or was it a local ISP?

Did they ever attempt to join invite-only instances or only ones with open signups?

So I wanted to setup a (new/replacement) remote backup (simply too much to store to make it worth it with Backblaze B2).
I was going to have it proper remote but for testing/initial setup I have it in my garage. Garage gets super dusty due to chicken coop built in corner of it.
All the furnace filters cost the same regardless of size so… picked the longest ones I could for the height I required.
Taped into a Sergal-like wedge shape to maximize surface area w/2 filters. All other intakes sealed.

I find it truly baffling when folks are fighting over who’s best when it comes to national pizza chains.

They all fuckin suck.
Whatever sparkle or magic they had years ago is long gone now.
They’re all the exact same marginal, soggy, undersized, underflavored, excuse that can hardly call themselves pizza.

Thankfully there’s still good pizza around. But they’re only gonna be at one-off pizza shops / mom’n’pop places.
Only ones that care about their main product: pizza — not shareholder line.

I am not registered for this year, but I might be able to get there just for the Saturday. Does anyone have any experience of their at-the-door day tickets? Do you have to pre-register for them? How likely is it that they run out? I would feel silly if I spent three hours on an early morning train and then never got in.

I seem to sleep and wake up so much better when I don’t leave my window (black out shade) down. And just natural light to filter in during sunrise. It’s like the light works with my sleep cycle and I wake up at the right time and feeling great.

Artificial light and shades and alarms were a mistake to society. Excuses for this whole .. capitalism and job thing or something.

I was just thinkin yesterday:
After 7-14 day long vacations before I used to crave going back to work, like I felt bored not working.

Now that there's nothing to go back to: it's not the work that I liked/craved, it was the taking care of missing work and all the issues (potentially) going on.
Remove all that and, huh, would ya look at that, turns out wanting to go back was really all artificial.

They can circle the drain w/o me. Tired of that hustle. I have myself to care about first.

For some folks the answer to that is to give them your absolute minimum.
And guess what I tried that for a couple years too.
You trade one stress for another stress, it was not a fix for me.

I hate how my brain is so... all or nothing. There is no in-between. (well, there is inbetween but it quickly all slumps one direction anyway..)

Ended up breaking the notoriously fragile LILO bootloader while doing some tweaking on my Slackware 7.1 setup. Thankfully I was able to grab a copy of my kernel off the drive, dd it to a floppy, and boot from that.

As hairy as early Linux was, there were a few pretty convenient things about it.
