"I just want to go home" says Girl, continuing down the yellow brick road with her picnic basket. "Take the bus!" Says Cat. "You sold me the ticket!" says Girl. "Oh right" says Cat, grimacing. "But if you're shut out of institutional scams - why not freelance?" Girl asks. "It's a snickers wrapper" says Cat. "Why tie yourself to the meritocratic measures of a dead world" says Girl - "In my defense I wanted money" Cat says. "We live in a time of scammers - because companies are scams - Potemkin legal structures for the reserve of money that sloshes around behind them, seeking ever more return," says Girl, "and the least valuable company is the one that makes something - and the least valuable person is the one who knows something."

"Who lives in Emerald City?" Girl asks. "The wizard who will get us-" "A heart" says Boy. "A brain" says Cat. "A solid veggie reuben" says Grrrl. "Home?" Asks Girl. "Or a forger of credentials whose certificates, watches and medals don't give you what you want - but only serve to let you know - that none of those people with credentials have hearts or brains or courage either! That it's ALL a SCAM - institutions and their leaders taking advantage of the pilgrims, the seekers, the believers, the rubes..." "If the wizard can't help us why are we GOING?" asks an exasperated Cat. Girl pulls a bomb out of her basket and smiles.

"And if there's no skill-based barrier to entry in this elite then their in-group social cohesion becomes paramount to maintaining their privilege." "The second greatest trick was to cast a boss class as inevitable," says Cat. "They HAVE to cover for each other," Girl says, "it's the only skill they have!" "So the question is why them," says Cat. "The third greatest trick" says Girl. "-instead of why ANYONE" says Cat. Giel pauses, sad and ashamed. "They got my nose," she says. "They could be pulling coins out of our ears!" Says Cat.

    Chef (waving a spoon): BARF! / Chef: Get a big bowl of barf here! / Girl: I don't really want to eat a big bowl of barf Chef: Well that's the best you're gonna do! / Cat: Do you have anything else? Chef: Not REALISTICALLY / Girl: Uh Chef: Two big bowls of barf coming right up! / (Cat and Girl look up to see a sign that says BARF STORE) / (Cat takes a bowl of barf. The sign behind the chef says "CEO of the Barf Company") / (Cat sips his barf. The barf store building says "We make sure no one sells anything but barf so everyone eats at the barf store!:) / Cat: This isn't even good barf Chef: You're supposed to say "yum"!

    Cat: If I had a hammer / I'd monetize the hammer / I'd monetize the hammer - all over this land / I'd rent to to the people who can't afford to buy a hammer / And if they damaged the hammer - I would charge them several times the retail value of the hammer / Then I would buy up all the hammers - and everyone would have to rent from me / Then I would sell my hammer business to private equity - who would pay themselves huge salaries to take the hammers apart / And sell the hammer heads to a smelter - and all the hammer handles to a company making children's salad servers / And then there wouldn't be ANY hammers / Which will really tank my new Smart-NailTM subscription service / (Cat considers his hammer) / Cat: Time to repossess some nails!

    Girl: They think our work can be done by AI / Cat: Mangers’ jobs are bullshit Girl: Because AI makes BULLSHIT - and since THEY spend all day making bullshit - they assume that’s what everyone does / Cat (rolling his sleeves up): THEIR managers’ jobs - are even MORE bullshit Girl: Not seeing - that the lowest levels of any workforce - are the people who DO anything - THEIR WORK - the only thing supporting the wobbling hierarchies of bullshit sitting atop them! / Cat: Executives’ jobs are even MORE bullshit Girl: And the job that AI could BEST replace / Cat: A CEO’s job is the most bullshit Girl: is the MOST BULLSHIT JOB / Girl: the CEO of a company selling AI / Cat: I hope AI brought a shovel.
