I live in what newspapers call a polycule. I did a great scheduling system for us. I've now invested nine months of development time in making it a more general purpose relationship scheduling app. I think I've overestimated the number of people in poly relationships.

@fesshole I’m guessing you don’t live in the Seattle area.

@mcc I wrote part of a service that scraped, parsed, and indexed multiple aggregators.

I made a LISP.

Normally in LISP:

; is comment
, is quasiquote

In my LISP:

is comment

, is EOL
I'm adding quasiquote, I'm thinking it will be… ; ? or maybe $ ?

I have… no reason to do this. I just Like # as a comment operator, and ; feels weird to me because no other language I've used uses it.

Oh except I'm now using my LISP as a preprocessor for ASM, so I'm having to replace ; with # whenever I copypaste code.

Am I just being difficult? Is "but I like it" adequate?

¹ shorthand for ) (

In my office there is the most glorious house centipede. I see them each morning as I’m the first one to get in, and startle them from their nightly creepings when I switch on the lights. I’ve tried to catch them several times, but they are swift, and I don’t know if they would be safer in the basement than our office. I am terrified one of my coworkers will see them and crush them or toss them outside where it is too cold.

Today they have bunkered themselves in a box of old exams.

@futurebird @fullyabstract I grew up in Florida, where you can sometimes hear roaches flying in the still, humid night air. The little bastards always seemed to know where to land so they’d be just out of reach of my broom. And on one occasion, one landed on my bare thigh.
