I have to click on the 3 dots in the upper right, then figure out which narrow line is my text line, click the right arrow.
And attaching photos looks like the 3rd screenshot.
Maybe it’s a Fediverse limitation. I expect to see photos when attaching, not code! WTH man!
Lemmy is social media. This isn’t link aggregation. It’s like a copy of Reddit, but much more primitive and inefficient. You make posts. Every social media posts links. You create “communities” which is the definition of “social media”.
My review stands. Lemmy is inefficient and does nothing better than any other platform, including other Fediverse projects like Mastodon. I paste a url and click post and it is done. No extra steps, user friendly, and good design.
Lemmy is classic developer hubris which kept people typing in terminals instead of using a gui for decades. And it’s what has kept Linux at less than 4% forever.
So if you want an insular community of gearheads who never grow as a community, a social club of 1%ers, then you are on the right path.
Lemmy Is, And Always Will Be, A Social Club For The 1%ers.
