This vacuum robot does something nefarious. When it does not get the chance to phone home to spew out all the data of your house, the mapping of all the places it has cleaned, in the privacy of your home, without your specific explicit consent, it bricks itself!
Go read about it here, be amazed at what this programmer has done, to make his robot work, without phoning home again.
The image shows a close-up view of a circuit board, likely from a robotic device. It has a green background with many components and wiring. There are several black and brown rectangular chips, alongside various resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components. Wires and connections are visible, forming a complex network. Text on the board reads, "ROBOT VACUUM" and the website address "hackaday.com/2023."

The photograph depicts a long pier bridge extending into water under a dramatic, swirling sky. The pier is composed of a series of dark, silhouetted structures, likely fishing platforms or buildings, receding into the distance. The water appears dark and still, reflecting some of the pier's form. The sky dominates the upper right portion of the image, filled with swirling, dark blue and white clouds, creating a sense of movement and perhaps an impending storm. A small, dark shape, possibly a bird, is visible in the upper center of the sky.

Build your own minimal BSD UNIX system with smolBSD project which aims at creating a minimal NetBSD virtual machine that's able to boot and start a service in less than a second. Previous NetBSD installation is not required, using the provided tools the microvm can be created from any NetBSD, Linux, MacOS system and probably more. Give it a try.
My Bass Short Scale in monochrome Magenta. The Signal flow goes from the Bass to the JOYO pedals in a pedal chain to either the instrument mixer, then the mixing console, or an Active Direct Box into a Channel strip before It goes to the PA
A monochromatic image, heavily tinted with shades of pink, depicts a person holding a bass guitar. The person is seen from the chest up, facing slightly to the left, with the face largely obscured by shadow. They are wearing a dark-colored hat with a brim that casts a significant shadow over their eyes and nose, and appear to be smoking a cigarette or similar object. The bass guitar is the central element, with its long neck extending upwards and its body prominently displayed. The background is a patterned fabric in various shades of pink, possibly floral, adding texture and depth to the composition.

When a government destroys the economy of an area and gets the area into debt, which is astronomical / monumental, it shall take decades to centuries for that area to get out of that debt

A peaceful, tree-lined cobblestone avenue in the historic center of Ferrara, Italy. Tall poplars rise in perfect symmetry along the path, their leaves whispering in the breeze. Warm brick buildings and ancient walls frame the scene, evoking the timeless elegance of this Renaissance city. A few people stroll quietly, absorbed in the tranquility of the moment.
A verified ID is required to access AI models in OpenAI's API to prevent IP theft. π They went from stealing everything from everyone to now claiming it's their original work, despite hundreds of pending copyright cases against them in the courts. Why is this even allowed? That's hypocrisy at best.
It is a scientifically proven fact that experienced Linux and Unix terminal users develop an involuntary "Ctrl+C" reflex. This reflex is so strong that they have been observed attempting to use it during everyday conversations to interrupt unwanted monologues.
You started too late my youngest Padawan; this has started all the way on the Commodore C64 and then went on the Commodore Amiga only then Linux emerged from the bowels of the Finland wetlands
Mozilla CEO made around 7 million USD last year, but hosting bills are pending. Now, they updated the ToS, and you can't watch p0rn, or your data will be sold, or they no longer care about the orignal mission, etc. Once again, we see C-suits lose their grip on reality. As long as they are getting paid in millions, software projects can go to /dev/null. It is like they want to ruin the project on purpose. There is no other explanation I can think of. Can you?
An update regarding my Fedi video, articles for #TheFutureIsFederated (plus unreleased photos from FOSDEM):
all my work has grinded to a halt because my little one has a bad case of stomach flu, so she is home from preschool β likely all week, poor thing.
The most I can manage right now is the occasional toot (while she is asleep, like right now), but itβs impossible to do any deep work this week. Iβm in mom / nurse mode.
