@eniko @oschonrock the met office numbers are 1010. Ours is 967, and we're in a different microclimate and elevation than where the airports we are. It is a large difference, but hardly apocalyptic or indicative of issues with the phone sensor

I have been Aware of the $70 Totoro date stamp for some months now. Such trinkets do not escape my sight. And you and I and everybody here all know: it is absurd to spend $70 on a date stamp. It's not even self-inking. What am I stamping with the date? Who do I think I am, a Taisho-era government bureaucrat?

it's so frustrating how badly informed people are about covid and masks.

When people see me masked, they assume that I'm sick most of the time, and, indeed that's what happened when I too a cab to the post office. The cab driver asked why i was wearing a mask, and it was, because he was afraid I was sick and would give it to him, and through him, his baby.

I explained that, no, I wear a mask, because my wife is medically vulnerable, and we went to pick up my package... Which was, ironically a pluslife testing machine and test cards.

after reading about how apparently microplastics are accumulating in peoples brains we bought some dishwasher safe stainless steel drink cups to replace our plastic ones (which we used cause glass shattering on tile floor is fucking awful) and they're quite nice

I am disproportionately furious that D&D Beyond is forcing a 2024-edition ruleset update to its character sheets. I don't want to rebuy the core books. I don't want to learn new rules. I just want to keep playing this fucking game that I love and have already paid for many times over. I want things to continue working as they have been, without any infinite-profit-seeking meddling. Ugh!! I'm cancelling my subscription and rebuilding my sheets directly in Roll20.

Happy Caturday. Yesterday was my Cat's Freya's birthday ( and, due to timezone wackiness it still nominally is!)

Here she is a couple of days ago looking especially chill and relaxed
