In the end, all that matters is:

  • how gently you lived?
  • how much you loved?
  • how well did you learn to let go of things not meant for you?

The 5 Most Famous Laws in The World

  1. Dunning-Kruger Law:
Stupid people think they're smart. Smart people doubt themselves. The less you know, the more confident you are.

  2. Parkinson's Law:
Work expands to fill the time available, so longer deadlines often lead to slower completion.

  3. Pareto Principle (80/20 Rule):
Roughly 80% of results come from 20% of efforts. Focus on the few things that actually matter.

  4. Hanlon's Razor:
People aren't trying to hurt you, they're just being careless. That person who didn't text back? They forgot, not ignoring you.

  5. Peter's Law:
Good workers become bad managers. Being great at your job doesn't mean you'll be great at the next level.

And I would add

  1. Murphy's Law:
Anything that can go wrong, will, when you least expect and can't afford.

My therapist told me to be less angry at people, I should write letters to the people I hate and then burn them.

It has worked wonders, but I still don’t know what to do with the letters.

A Chinese doctor moved to the U.S. and couldn't find a job at a hospital.

So he opened a small clinic and put up a bold sign that read:

“Cure for any disease for $20 — If you’re not cured, get $100 back!”

One day, a clever American lawyer saw the sign. “This looks like a scam,” he thought, “but maybe I can make a quick $100!” He walked in, feeling confident.

Lawyer: “Doctor, I’ve lost my sense of taste.”

Doctor: “Nurse, Box 22 — three drops in his mouth.”

Lawyer: “Ugh! That’s kerosene!”

Doctor: “Perfect! Your taste is back. That’ll be $20.”

A few days later, the lawyer came back.

Lawyer: “Doctor, I’ve lost my memory. I can’t remember anything.”

Doctor: “Nurse, Box 22 — three drops.”

Lawyer: “Wait! That’s kerosene again!”

Doctor: “Wonderful! Your memory is restored. That’s $20.”

Still determined, the lawyer tried one last time.

Lawyer: “Doctor, my eyesight is failing. I can’t see a thing!”

Doctor: “Ah, sorry — no cure for that. Here’s your $100.”

The doctor handed him… $20.

Lawyer (squinting): “Hey, wait a minute — this is only $20!”

Doctor: “Fantastic! Your eyesight is back. That’ll be $20.”

Me: “Hello.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Hello. This is Bob Bobson from Microsoft Support. We are seeing a lot of virus activity from your device.”

Me: “Oh no. My device? Are you sure?”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Oh yes, we have many reports.”

Me: “Oh jeez. How can I fix it?”>;
NOT-Microsoft support: “It’s OK sir. We can help you right now. Are you in front of your device sir?”

Me: “Yes. I was just about to use it. I’m glad you called.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Yes sir, we are going to help you. Can you please push the Start button?”

Me: “I think it's already on.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Okay, sir. Now you want to click on Control Panel.”

Me: “I don’t see that.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Do you see a bunch of information above the Start button?”

Me: “Yes.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “That is your Control Panel.”

Me: “Wow, I didn’t realize it had a name.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Yes sir, now press on Internet Options.”

Me: “Yeah, I definitely don’t see any Internet options. I don’t think I purchased that feature. This is just a cheap one.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “They all have the Internet sir. Press the Start button again.”

Me: “OK, it’s the same as before.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “That’s OK sir. We are going to restart your device. Can you please turn it off?”

Me: “Ummm…I don’t know how. I’ve never turned it off. Since I bought it, it just kind of stays on all the time.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “There must be an off button on your device. How do you stop it when it’s running?”

Me: “In those cases, I usually press the big button.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “OK sir. Please press that button.”

Me: “Ok.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Is your device off?”

Me: “No. The door popped open.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Door? Is there a disc inside the door?”

Me: “No, there’s a burrito.”

NOT-Microsoft support: “Why is there a burrito in your computer?”

Me: “Computer? I thought you said this was microwave support.”

"Indigenous knowledge has long understood what science is only now proving. Shared by a friend.

Tuesday the 11th is Remebernce Day.

The day to remember those that died in war.

This year also marks 50 yrs since the Dismissal
of an elected government.

As I looked back this day we came close to
civil war, only the calm directions of Gough Whitlam saved the country from uprising,
there was talk of mass protest and just standing in streets blocking all movement and national strikes.

The Liberal coalition went on to win 3 terms of government.

But the long term disputes between the the coaliton eventually brought them down by their own hand and Labor went on to win 5 terms of government with over 13yrs in office from
1983 to 1996. IT TOOK OVER 10 YEARS to fix Liberal stuff upps.

So on 11th of the 11th give time to remember what Labor has done for you:

  • income support
  • unemployment support
  • pensions
  • Medicare
  • pharmacutical benefits
  • Bulk billing
  • free ambulance
  • public hospitals
  • 40 hrs week
  • free day care
  • ndis
  • the list goes on and on..and retiring senators replaced by same party, No more allowing for GG to sack gov.

With coalition in total dissaray Labor is set for 15yrs in Government.

A lady walks into a pet store, looking for an attack dog to protect her and her husband.

The owner says, "I’ve got something better—a highly trained kookaburra!"

Skeptical, the lady watches as the owner demonstrates: "Kookaburra, pencil!" The bird dives and shreds the pencil to bits.

Then, "Kookaburra, phone book!" The kookaburra obliterates a phone book in seconds. Convinced, the lady buys the bird and takes it home.

She excitedly tells her husband how this kookaburra will keep them safe.

The husband, rolling his eyes, scoffs, "Kookaburra my arse!"

A lost dog wanders into the jungle. A lion spots him from a distance and thinks, “Huh… never seen one of these before. Looks edible.

The lion starts charging. The dog freaks out until he notices some bones nearby. Thinking fast, he blurts out:
“Mmm… that was some tasty lion meat!”

The lion slams the brakes: “Wait… this little dude eats lions?! Nope, I’m out.”

But high up in a tree, a monkey saw the whole thing. He scampers over to the lion and spills the truth, hoping to score points. The lion growls: “Hop on my back. We’ll get him together.”

They storm back toward the dog. The dog sees them coming, panics harder… then yells:
“Where the hell is that monkey? I told him to bring me another lion an hour ago!

Fediverse... I'd like to find a hand-held pin-chuck for drilling out 1mm holes to 1.2/1.5mm on PCBs. Many many years ago, Jaycar had one in their catalogue but no longer. I've never found one in Bunnings, either. What do people recommend?

And while I think of it, 1.2mm drill bit shouldn't be hard to find, either, right?

What about the best way to cut vero board? I don't remember what my Dad used to do and the little band saw I got off him doesn't leave clean cuts (the blade is probably too coarse).

Get our country back on track with ? Yep, the same trajectory as their previous 10 years giving us record debt which Labor have reduced, wages rising, inflation down (seeds sown by previous 10 years of LNP). Medicare and health spending up under Labor instead of cutting GP subsidies.

We can't afford another government taking us backward. Put them last when voting.
